    Re: Back on the Horse...

Don, why would the government aid the cessation of such a huge revenue raiser? Immediate revenue is what they want, isn't it?

The costs from smoking far outweigh any taxation income.

    Re: Back on the Horse...

another half kilo down. seems to be my consistent number, so am happy with that. if i can lose half a kilo each week for the rest of the year, i should be in fine form.

    thanks for checking in!

    Re: Back on the Horse...

I'd be ecstatic with a half kilo a week!  Nice and steady too.  I like the new WW stationery like their diary (when I went on a girls weekend, two of the women were tracking so I got a bit a look at the new style).

    Re: Back on the Horse...

    :)

i can only guess you're up with bubs at this time of night!!!
i've been a good girl & went to bed around 9ish (and having an alcohol free week so hmmm curtailing my social life LOL!) and just woke up, deleted some spam on here, and made a hot milk & honey so i can hopefully get back to sleep.

i am surprised at ww - i did it years and years ago, lost about 5kgs, (this was after my daughter was born), had no idea what i was really doing, and stupidly left.
this time around i've committed myself to get to goal. i have blocked out the rest of 2008 with my mtg time. i have been on the weightloss viscious circle for far too many years, and am pleased and kind of humbled to be learning so much - when i thought i already KNEW so much. it's good to be challenged and by that i mean really look at myself and my beliefs and habits and how i *think* i was going, as opposed to how i actually am.

i think a massive thing i have only realised this week was that because i exercised SOOOOOOOO much (with all the personal training, classes etc), i would ALWAYS think Oh it's ok to have X (insert whatever delicious downfall you like here - usually champagne) because i trained today. and i don't think i've ever eaten so much in my life, and yet i'm losing! i'm cooking everything - which is awesome, and finding a lot of strength and new learning in portion/serving size control (you know on the packets of things when they says servings:4 - they really MEAN IT! LOL)

anyhooo hope you get some sleep mummy - am happy to show you my stuff when we next see you!

    Re: Back on the Horse...

Hope you got back to sleep! I didn't realise you were doing WW, Kaz - that's great! I haven't done it, but I've seen what they do, and I think it's probably the best , healthiest, most manageable long term lifestyle, rather than just a quick fix and put it all backon again diet. My friend lost 20kg doing WW, just slowly and steadily. Woo-hoo, good on you - sounds  like it's going well, too!!! Put a link to my house blog in my journal, too!

    Re: Back on the Horse...

    hiya ali!

i only started it a couple weeks ago. one friend has lost 117kg on it, another 70kg on it. whilst i don't need to lose numbers like that, i do need a big dose of consistency, re-education & the support network from going to meetings.

i will have a look at ur house - can't wait to see it!!
