    Re: 115.0

Certainly I think any one who is trying to loose weight can start to find their self worth is reflected in there recent weight changes.

While logic suggests that the band will start to work once it is correctly adjusted it is also reasonable that most of us have some emotions.

The Dr has scales at his office to keep us honest.

But I also try and weigh on Mondays before breakfast.

The PT is a group session of 5 and was selected by the bariatric practice.

You had to pay for the PT sessions before you got the band the logic seems that they try and introduce you to certain activities that will hopefully encourage you to become more active.

They set a goal for me of 83 Kg before the surgery this is a BMI of 27.

I have not been this light since I have been 179 cm tall.

Personally this seems some ware I have never been before but they seem a realistic and competent mob so it seems there is little reason why I won’t achieve this goal.

Personally If I got to 90 kg this is a lot lighter that when I was at my heaviest.

What other bariatric practices do I have no idea

    Re: 115.0

Seems like you're doing so well, don, so congrats on that! Maybe once you reach a certain weight, whether it be 90, 88, 85, whatever - you'll just know that that's the right, maintainable weight for you?! Oh, and LOL! I always weigh myself on Monday before breakfast, too - definitely before breakfast!!! Keep up the good work! ;) Alison

    Non scale victory

As a piece of trivia Adelaide is in the grip of a record breaking heat wave at present.

I had the revelation that my thighs were not chafed.

My upper thighs no longer rub together.

In the past after a few hot days I would be chafed raw and quite uncomfortable.

How admiring a scantily clad young woman leads me to this revelation I will leave to your imagination.

    Re: Non scale victory

Oh don, most of the ladies on this forum live with males so unfortunately we don't need imaginations to know!!

Oh, and can I tell you that the worst kind of thigh rub is nylon panythose in the summer, bad friction burn.  Please don't tell me you know what that's like!!!!

But, I was going to say, that everytime I hate Melbourne's hot weather, I just look at Adelaide's and think gee they've got it worse.  Like 39C is the magic number!

    Rain dance

My wife enquired if I knew an Indian rain dance last night.

I suggested that I would be happy to show her a special rain dance after my son fell asleep.

    Oh she says with indifference.

For those of you that are suffering with the drought perhaps you should be disappointed that some people aren’t doing their best to make it rain.

    115.0 again

    No change this week

    Re: 115.0 again

How are you feeling Don? Is it frustrating to stay the same weight after all this? I am sure soon enough it will all settle and a happy medium between band, mind and life will show some great results!

    Re: 115.0 again

On refection I haven’t been a saint this week.

Heading into the third week of a heat wave has certainly made me a bit lazy with any activity.

I don’t think anybody in Adelaide is disappointed that we have been promised a cool change.

Certainly I have felt some restriction and fullness and I suppose that I haven’t watched my eating closely.

It would be nice to have the weight coming off but realistically if I can just drift along without trying and not put on weight this is a lot better than before I had the band.

I did have a modest victory yesterday In that I got up in the night and didn’t feel hungry and so I didn’t visit the fridge.

Logically to consistently control ones weight snacking needs to be controlled.

    115.8

Another week another Monday another modest gain this week.

I must admit with all this exercise I have been feeling stiff most mornings and sleeping well.

I seem to bee feeling stronger.

Went swimming this morning and had an interesting experience I sunk.

So perhaps there is some loosing fat and gaining muscle action happening but with 30 Kg to lose It would be nice to see the scales go down.

Easter was a challenge as far as food was concerned but certainly it could have been worse.

    Re: 115.8

Don, perhaps if you post your food intake, we could offer some input? Unless that would simply irk you?

    Re: 115.8

    Logically food is the issue.

I am hoping the band will take care if this providing I make reasonable choices.

I would guess that anything that has been boiled in oil is a poor choice.

Hopefully I won’t need to achieve sainthood every day to get to the goal they have set.

While I have felt some restriction since the last fill any feeling of fullness has been fleeting.

Should I add that the Easter bunny is evil and needs a good dose of calicivirus.

    Re: 115.8

Yes, Oil boiling would not be the best, that is for sure!

No need to achieve sainthood, just sensible choices MOST of the time! After going through the surgery it would be a shame to not achieve the goals you desire!
