    Re: Lollylorna's journal

    Gee, thanks everyone!

Bananarama, Human League, Wham....those were the days, eh!

Unfortunately Dh has had late finishes from work, and I've gambled him being home so I could get out for a walk, and it hasn't paid off.  But if I want to stay in the 80's with Duran Duran, then I'll just have to get out tonight with the dog and run up the road.  I missed yesterday and I really want to make sure I go today.

I was thinking about LAG the other day, and I think I can maintain without too much trouble (famous last words) if I maintain my passion to get out and exercise daily, and not splurge too much on less than healthy foods.

    Thanks for your encouragement guys!

Oh Jeeze! Stop making scarey memories come back!

I've seen photos (and can remember what my mother used to wear!)

Bright Pink Lipstick, Hair in her Big Afro that she has, Those big plastic thick and bright pink hoop eariings, Black muscle shirt with black leather biker jacket over it, FLURO and I mean FLURO, green or pink lycra l;eggins, white socks pulled up over them, or those matching FLURO leg warmers and sneakers of some sort!HmmVomit1

Oh the humanity..BangHead and I was a baby wearing flowerchild clothes... My father had (still has) long wavery hair, he wore a bandand, wore just a waistcoat and brown leather flares with no shoes...

    Re: Lollylorna's journal

My best friend and I used to go to her house after school and play pool on the pool table in the garage with either Inxs, U2, or Dragon playing, or Oils on the Water video which her brothers had taped from who-knows-where.  Ah, playing pool and singing our heads off, we did that a lot.

Back from trip down memory lane!

Yesterday, ran round backyard while baby slept, 5yo was out with his dad getting new flightsim.  5 minute walk warm up, 15mins jog, 5 min cool down walking.  Then inside to do resistance exercises which were:

    • tricep press x 15 (2kg water bottles)
    • push-ups from knees x 20
    • tricep dips x 10
    • repeat all the above
    • bicep curls x 20 (2kg water bottles)
    • upright row x 20 (2kg water bottles)
    • repeat last two exercises
    • squat x 25
    • lunge x 15 each leg
    • step ups x 12 each leg
    • repeat last three exercises

On the downside, we had fish and chips for dinner last night, and didn't get the grilled fish! Cest la vie, twas nice tho.  Scheduled 20min jog for today.

    Re: Lollylorna's journal

I've had the dreaded gastro bug since yesterday morning.  We went to the museum and I added my lunch as a new exhibit in the forest section.  Oh dear - really embarrassing.  An attendant came up to me while dh was getting someone, to tell me to keep control of the 5yo who was scaling an embankment, but she realised when she got closer that I was otherwise pre-occupied and the 5yo was taking full advantage of the situation.  Museum staff were really good about and said to 'just disappear' but they offered use of their sick bay and were really quite considerate.  Had a good sleep when I got home.

Feeling much better today but got the hangover affect from it, in that I'm not rally interested in eating stuff.

Anywho - 89.5kgs on scales this morning, I'll update the ticker later.
