    Re: Holidays

I hope that your holidays are a chance for you to relax, and regroup, then you can come back fighting and ready to win!

    back home

Well, I am back from 3 weeks away plus a few hectic weeks at home. I've been avoiding this forum due to my absolute slackness, but am back into it now. I've been walking with my girls quite often and have found another great exercise machine - a puppy.  It's either walk her or watch her destroy the garden, so walking we go!

I am moving in about 3 weeks (for the 4th time in 2 years and the 2nd time in 4 months!).  We are going back to the town we left 4 months ago and it has a great walking track, which is flat and safe, so it will be great for me, the girls, the pram and the puppy.   I just have to get about 1 million things finished at work before I leave, complete my last ever Masters Degree assignment, pack and move 500 odd Kms...and then I will be Uni free, working a measley 1 day per week and be able to walk my butt off (literally) in our new town!

I'm looking forward to it all.  Libby

    Re: back home

    Hi there,

My husband is in the army and so I really know what it is like to move so I wish you all the best with it.    Maybe we can encourage each other with the walking with the kids.  I am very slack in getting the exercise.    So good luck with the walking track.  Oh what puppy do you have??   I got a puppy for my birthday last year and I thought it would be great to get out and walk him.  However it has not worked out that way.  I must start that now huh!!

    Cheers.

    Re: back home

    Hi,

Good idea re the walking encouragment, we can share successes and kid / dog / pram stories - the laughs and the disasters! lol.  We have a Kelpie, so she needs heaps of exercise.

The truck comes tomorrow, we spend a day loading, a day driving and a day unloading (I'm sure you know the drill), so I think our first walk will be sometime Wednesday or Thursday. I will wear my step counter thingie (even thought it seems a bit dodgey...) and let you know how we go.

    Looking forward to your stories,

    Libby

    40....

Well, I'm 40. Does that mean I'm middle aged??  That can't be right...Anyway, I am 40 and still fat, but slowing improving my life. I'm  being much more active - the puppy has realy helped there, as she just has to be walked, so off we go as often as we can.

I'm about to move house AGAIN, the 2nd move in 2 months, the 3rd in 6 months and the 5th in 2 years - at least it will involve lots of exercise, lifting, carrying, walking - a nice combination of cardio and strength maybe? lol  At least this time we are staying in the same town and are going to stay put in this new house for at least 2 years.

I still really need to get the food under control - it is just so yummy!  But, again I am making slow improvements - I  am keeping a supply of salad made up in the fridge, so I can get that to snack on and have with meals.  And I've found it has made me more aware of the salad & vegies we have with the other meals too, so the whole family is benefiting from more salad and veg all round.
