    Playing with Dolphins.

Went canoeing for a social paddle Sunday morning with the canoe club.

This was in the upper reaches of the Port River the dolphins were friendly.

Saw three jump at out of the water and had some swimming under the bow of the kayak the water was calm enough that you could see the bow wave from them moving through the water.

They bow wave from the dolphins was enough to push the kayak around it was a bit un-nerving the first time.

Generally a pleasant morning I am a bit stiff today.

I suppose 2 hours of paddling is a bit of a workout.

Asthma was bad last week but some steroids and antibiotics and it seems to be settling.

    Re: Playing with Dolphins.

On the food front since the last adjustment to the band I have found a lot more things disagreeing with me.

I have generally found breakfast a struggle it seems that later in the day I can tolerate food better.

Had about 3 fork fulls of 2 min noodles yesterday. My son decided that after I made them he wanted a different flavour and this caused me to vomit.

I must learn to just throw food way (contrary to what my mother said when I was young).

At least with the band the food tastes pretty similar coming up as when it went down also the volume is quite modest.

It was 2 degrees this morning so I didn’t weigh.

    114.1

Last Saturday looks like the weight has stabilised.

However I have a modest victory on Sunday I went canoeing ant the spay jacket I have been waring over the lifejacket actually did up.

In the past it wouldn’t do up and only kept my back and arms warm.

Looks like more fill is needed.

I suppose thinking about it if everybody found it easy to lose weight found it easy there would be very few people trying to lose weight.

    Hi mate,

I know a trainer that has lost over 50kg with a band (well he wasn't a trainer before!), maybe he would be good for you to chat to and maybe rebound a few things off him. I can pass on his number if you'd like.

    113.5

A loss is a loss it was a pleasant surprise.

    Re: 113.5

Nice to have a loss! But Don, please take this the right way, should it not be an expectation with the band, that you WOULD have a loss? I would be so frustrated if I were you. It is a big deal to have it done, and I would be doing everything I could to make it work, and if it was not, would be stressed beyond belief! Although I just flicked back, you ahve dropped about 10 kilos, am I right? So not too bad! I would be impatient!

    Re: 113.5

Certainly by the western monochronic standard of time the band has been a failure.

Using a polychronic view if time it has helped me improve my life and there is room for a lot more fill (restriction) yet.

    http://hackvan.com/pub/stig/etext/monochronic-vs-polychronic-time.html

Is this a variation of Zen fitness “I sweat therefore I am fit”????  Paradise

What constitutes a failure is a very personal thing.

While fast would be good long term is better.

    Re: 113.5

Please, I am not saying it was failure! Your words, not mine!
