    Re: 113.5

Certainly I haven’t achieved the 500g to 1Kg a week that is promoted in a lot of literature.

Equally at my heaviest I was over 150 Kg.

From a pragmatic viewpoint will getting frustrated and angry about the surgery help produce a weight loss?

Gastric bands can be very dangerous things if not treated conservatively.

I don’t wish to put myself in hospital because of the thing.

    Incognito

Had a phone call from a person who I removed some bees for about 3 years ago on Sunday that he had more bees and could I come and remove them.

When I arrived he didn’t believe I had been there before.

I assured him that I had but he didn’t believe me.

“You are much younger than the person who came last time” he said

There must have been some change in the last few years.

    Re: Incognito

I have definitely felt better the last year or so.

I had another fill today (0.5ml) and I certainly feel restricted.

    112.0

The last adjustment to the band has made a considerable difference I am now beginning to feel full after the second or third mouthful also my tummy has been niggly enough to remind me to chew very thoroughly.

    The tooth fairy and economics

My son lost a tooth yesterday.

He is currently saving for a Nintendo DS

He had decided that $50.00 was a fair price in exchange for his used tooth from the tooth fairy.

I suggested that this may be well above the choke price for second-hand teeth and as the tooth was really unremarkable he really is in a price taker situation.

This morning he found a new tooth brush and $3.00 under his pillow.

It was suggested that if he was unhappy with this price he should leave the toothbrush and money out so the tooth Fairy can return his tooth and take bab the toothbrush and the money.

It was decided that money was a much better medium of exchange than second-hand teeth.

Also the band has been restricting things nicely at present.

    Hey Don,

Isn't it great when kids get old enough to negotiate with? LOL!! At least the tooth fairy comes in your house.  She forgot to come for a whole week here once, boy did I have some excuses to come up with LOL!!!

He also thought $100.00 to dry the dishes was quite reasonable as well.

    But life goes on.

He has already suggested that I will have to charge more to remove bees so I have more money to spend on him.

    Parenting what fun.

    113.7 and on drugs

Hi I have had a long course of Prednisolone with my asthma and I initially put on 3 Kg with this.

I am still on the stuff but I am on the improve and have lost some weight after the initial gain from fluid.

Had an interesting discussion with the boss and it seems I may be in line for a change of activities at work $23,000.00 a year pay rise.

Hopefully the potential pay rise is nothing to do with having lost about 50 Kg.

Uni studies are finished for the year and I am planning to go fishing this weekend.

    Re: 113.7 and on drugs

Go Don! Nice pay rise there for you! I hope it works out!

Sorry to hear about the asthma, while it is great the drugs are helping, it still sucks that you get fluid gain!

    Take Care!
