    Re: Jen's Journal

So last nite I decided to have some Dorittos chips - had a couple of handfuls (I know I didn't need it - but you know if its there).  I also had my dinner of Ravioli and a cup of tea with 4 * weight watcher choc chip biscuits.  hmmm, not happy that I had those chips.  Its always food choices I have a problem with.  You know not to have it, but you end up having it.  Its funny how 12 months ago, I really would of eaten it all plus more, so I guess I have made a lot of changes since then, so got 2 be happy with that, rather than beat myself up over it (not that I really am).

Anyway moving right along; Im going to go to the gym tonite.  Dont know if Ill be doing the Spin class yet, a bit scared of it all really.  We'll see what mood Im in.

Anyway, hopefully this week continues on well.

    Re: Jen's Journal

okay so I bailed out on the spin class and did a belly dancing class which is more fun than that painful machine.  Whats the go with the seats.  They hurt like hell.  Anyway, I went on the treadmill prior to the class for 10mins and decided to stay back after the belly dancing class to do the elliptical trainer and treadmill for another 40mins.  Was so proud cuz I was happy to go home, but I pressed on to challenge myself by getting to level 5 on the Elliptical trainer (including whatever program I selected).

Have a bit of a headache and was feeling a bit light headed this morning.  Anyway, I have a personal training session this arvo, so have to go to that.  Will do either the treadmill/elliptical trainer tonite.

    Re: Jen's Journal

Good god, I feel muscles (woo hoo) but I also feel pain.  My arms are so sore after my personal training session last nite.  I did cardio for 1/2hr and then met with my pt.  I was not motivated at all to go (had a headache) but thought I had to cancel last week cuz of an exam and I wasn't going to do that again this week.  I guess this pain is sort of good cuz I know its working (but I must admit - I hadn't been working hard on the weights this week).  It really doesn't take long for the muscles to go.  I noticed the pain even more so last nite when I was driving.  You see I have no power steering, so you know, turning the wheel when you have sore arms can be a tad tricky.

Anyway, Im trying not to get peeved off at other motorists.  I noticed last nite 3 times people had cut in front of me (in really wet conditions).  I did scream once, but noticed my bad behaviour and then shrug it off.  Again this morning, I had someone cut into my lane when they know there not supposed to (at the same place as yesterday morning) and i didnt yell (that much) but just sang away to whatever song was playing.  This whole stress thing is harder than I thought.

I know Im a bit stressed at the moment.  My boyfriend was told last night by the agent that he the owner now wants to move in and therefore he has a couple of months to look for another place.  This is going to be difficult since one of those weeks were away, and the others are busy with prior engagements plus we were saying in the beginning of the year that we were going to move in together.  But I guess Im scared too.  I know we've been together for 7 1/2 yrs but I've lived at home all my life (living the good life with mum doing everything for me).  So living together is a big step and Im starting to stress and we haven't even moved in together.  I guess its the thought of change and adapting to somewhere new.  I suppose we can always find a place, let him settle in and then I can always move in later.  I was hoping for later in the year after Tafe was finish for the year, cuz theres nothing worse than moving when your busy.  I don't know.  So confused.  Were going to talk about it tonight.  I guess there are much bigger problems out there than this.  Its just all daunting when you've lived at home all your life only to go live with your other half.  haaaaaaaaaaaaa, okay I've vented.  Guess I need to put this is my homework.

    Thanks for reading

    Jen's Journal

Hey there Jen, good to see you are on top of things..

firstly about the road rage.. maybe you should try different roads.. wouldn't want you to take a crowbar to someone cause you radio stopped working. lol (please dont do that)

as for the Boyfriend.. well i'm in the same position, I was issued a letter saying that as they are trying to sell the house and there are needed renovations, I need to go, so I have 4 weeks, and it is hard when you work 5 days a week, and can only get viewings of places on weekdays... but i'm sure I won't end up on the street so it is ok.. now as for moving in with him.. damn 7 1/2 years is a long time.. by now i'm sure you would know all his bad habbits. but yeah If I could go back and live with mum I would. I mean it is easier, cheaper, but not as fun.. so good luck and i'm sure it will all go ok.

Well i'm back to the studying, uni exam tomorrow, and i'm 100% confident, that I know nothing... so have fun and play nice.

    ciao

    Happy New Year
    Mac

    Re: Jen's Journal

    here there mac,

firstly, good luck in the exam, I know the feeling, just finished mine (for now).

As for the road rage, I just usually scream at them, nothing violent.  Not that type.  I would like to take different streets but it happens everywhere when you live in sydney (even in the back, quiet streets sometimes).  Just this morning a driver came speeding and quickly changed lanes at the same time as me.  Luckily I checked my blind spot and moved back into my lane.  I didn't scream or anything (not worth it) but I did notice a sign on his car "twins on board".  Gee's; some people have a death wish on them and think they own the road.

Moving right along, I know its much cheaper living at home and yes I know his bad habits as does he knows mine.  Must admit though, I cooked last nite for him (I usually am the kitchen assistant - hate cooking).  If only you could be a fly on the wall watching me cut up the chicken with a freezer bag in my left hand so I didn't have to touch the chicken (sad, I know), but at least I cooked.  Good luck in your quest for a place, I know this is when the problem starts.  I can always move in later, once his settled, probably easier.

Was planning to play tennis tonite, pity about the weather.  When ever I plan to play tennis, it always rains.  I should note, not to make plans.

    Anyway, signing out.

    Re: Jen's Journal

So, this weekend has been really busy for me.  On Saturday I went and did my step class and weights and then quickly rushed off home to pick up my bf to look at apartments.  Well, no success (I tell you there are some crappy places out there).  Anyway, went home, had lunch and then later in the arvo had to go pick up Brendan's sister from the airport and drive to their parents place.  Due the late arrival of the flight we ended up ordering in dinner (had Thai) and then left late and dropped his grandmother off home.

Sunday wasn't too bad, went to the gym in the morning (even though I didn't really feel like it).   Did 45 mins of cardio and then went home to find my bf sick.  Was planning to do the heart break hill walk, but that will have to be postponed for a later date.

This week will be another busy week with work, gym, and looking at apartments cuz were going away for 1 week to Cairns.  Plus on Sunday Im catching up with a friend down from the Gold Coast.  So that should be good.  Oh and I almost forgot that its my birthday on friday, so going out to dinner etc and probably the whole family thing.

Anyway, hope my food intake isn't going to be too bad.  My aim is to lose .3kg to reach my first short short term goal I set for myself.  I am going to train a little harder for this.

    Re: Jen's Journal

oh, luv that!  Will keep that in mind.

Well yesterday I was going along so well, keeping up with most of my work coming through, eating well except for my scotch finger episode of 5 which we will not speak of (slap slap jen) but didn't get time to exercise.  Bugger.

Anyway, going to go to the gym today (not friday of course).  Out to dinner with the bf for some chinese.   hmmm, im salavating now.  I already know what I am going to order.  Satay beef and Imperial Peking chicken with boiled rice.  Yummo.

Cant wait.  Anyway, time for lunch.

    Jen

    Re: Jen's Journal

okay so I didnt go to the gym last nite cuz I really couldn't be bothered plus I finished at 5pm, trying to do my homework for FOH.  I know, no excuses but at least I did try to do something at home.  I didn't do any cardio, not really in the mood.  I did some strength training, better than nothing.  Dinner was not crash hot.  Had 2 eggs and 2 bread rolls with a little bit of margarine.  Bugger.

I started on the homework last nite and realised that slowly I was eating too much.  I mean, how could this be happening.  I found it difficult in parts cuz I am trying to accomodate what I would normally eat but I do things differently which is probably not working for me.  Im on 6500kj (note here I count in kilojoules so now am trying kcal's) and im on 6500 (which eqates to 1547Kcal) which is probably too high when trying to lose weight.  Will have to take some time out in the next couple of weeks and re-work my food to try and get that lower.

I also looked at my diary last nite and realised my short short term goal of being down to 86kg (I thought it was 87kg) which I now know is not a reality.  Great way to start my birthday, plus I weighed in heavier this morning (I know shouldnt have weighed in) and had a P Plater almost crash into me (lucky I have brakes and a loud horn which I pressed for a very long time).  Apart from that, everything is okay.  Had so many birthday wishes from lots of people already and Im the type to try and slide thru as if its another day.  Oh well, guess not this year.  So now I am 28years old, and at least there is a positive thing to all this, Im an eighties girl.  I am no longer 96.1 which I am soooooooo happy about, but if only I could be 86.1 - I would be happier, oh well, not to dwell on it.  (Isn't it weird how we have to put a negative spin on something good - must work on that).

So Im going to chinese tonite.  Already know what im having and it aint going to be good, but you know what for one day I think thats okay. I will just try to stop when I am full and not eat everything in site.

Okay, must go now, Im on the clock and not doing much work and have been here for 1hr now, oops.  oh well, boss doesn't mind.

    Re: Jen's Journal

    hiya jen!

enjoy chinese tonight. remember though, there are some simple tips that can save on the calories and are not a big prob to incorporate.

have a soup to start with - one of the cleary type ones with the chinese vegies floating about.
go easy on the rice - or have plain rice instead of fried.

get stir fried rather than curries or oily thingies. (ok you can tell i'm a vego who doesn't eat chinese much LOL)...

    by the way my sweet

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Sing [sing] Party2 [party2] Party!!! [<:o)] Cheers [cheers] Clap [clap] Kiss2 [kiss2]
