    Hey Jane,

Yeah, it sounds that way.  If your going to go down, I say go down enjoying it as the push upwards to getting back onto your feet is going to hurt.  Thank god for a new week, and yes practicising the word "NO".  The pizza in the fridge at work was calling out to me, but I said NO, NO!!!  But feel so tired, weak etc... and I have Tafe tonight.  So will see how I go.  Need a siesta.

    Re: 3/8/07

Well I'm slowly getting back on track.  After a disasterous July of eating crap, I've decided enough is enough.  Its so annoying how we all sabotage ourselves and for what.  That brief moment when you shove that crap down your throat for the sensation of feeling better.  How does that make us feel better when we have to work so damn hard to get it off.  I know I will continue to have up's and down's, that's life unfortunately.  So lets see how the weeks been.

Weekend was tragic with eating crappy foods - hormonal of course.

Monday, start of a new week (haven't we all said that so many times).  So I have been planning, eating well and exercising.  Went to the gym on Tuesday, Wednesday and am going tonite and Saturday.

Exercise Plan:  Fri: Cardio - 30 mins, weights - 30mins

Sat: Step Attack class - 1hr (too fatigued to do anything else after that class)

Sun: Will see how I go, but hopefully 1hr cardio but have to do some studying

                           Mon:  Tafe (EXAM)

                           Tues: Tafe

                           Wed:  PT Session, 30mins cardio

                           Thurs: Cardio

                           Fri: Cardio, Weights

Anyway, better get back to work.

    Hey Jen,

I agree with Jane, don't be so hard on yourself...we're all having these moments and as long as we can pick ourselves off the floor to move on, we're only going to keep moving in the right direction.  Good luck with the exam btw!

    Re: 7/8/07

Thanks guys, your too nice ...

Well the weekend I had a quick weigh in and lost .9kg - not bad considering I was still eating crap.  Just have no self control at the moment.  Feel like I can only focus on one thing at a time, and usually study outweighs that at the moment (well usually).

Over the weekend I did the step attack class and 15mins spin bike (in which my butt is still trying to recover).  Didn't go on Friday and Sunday to the gym, had to do shopping etc ... too many bdays for August.  Mums on 13/8, Dad on 15/8, Brendan (bf) on 18/8 and did I mention rego on 28/8 - not happy!

So had the exam last nite, got 2 q's wrong and I know I did.  Damn 8 marks gone and so hopefully got 12/20 and I need to get in the final 70% and over otherwise I fail - extra stress!! Just tells me I need to pull my finger out and do some study.

Anyway, gotta go, see ya around.

    Jen

    Re: 7/8/07

Well have PT session for tonite. Hopefully it will be okay. I have a new trainer that I sort of feel like she's patronising me in saying things like "good girl".  Gee's, my other trainer wouldn't do that.  Anyway, only 4 PT's left and then Im giving the club the flick.  Will start training with my old PT and all will be well.  My other trainer would push me to my absolute limits (in other words till I fatigued) and she knew when I was slacking off which was good.  So not long now till Fitness First opens at Maroubra - End of Oct and with the weather looking so great recently, I might even cancel my gym membership a month before and do some aqua classes down the road from me.  I can always do some sessions there if it works out cheaper and better towards reaching my goals.

Foodwise well, still battling that demon.  Have been relatively good apart from some lollies and freckles I had yesterday, oh and toobs chips (but at least there only 7.5g of fat and low in KJ compared to others and every mouthful was such a pleasure).  Hmmmm, toobs chips.

Okay, back to reality now.  Better go now.

    Re: 9/8/07

    Thanks guys.

Mel - Yep, she did it again last nite.  Have 3 PT Sessions left and then that's it.  My old trainer who quit is now working at FF and so I will start training with her in a month or so.  She really pushes me to fatigue which is great (who said that, slap me now).

Rossy - Thanks for checking in.  Hopefully I passed. I find when I stress everything around me just stops including exercise which I know not to do but you just can't help it when your not prepared as I was not.  Oh well, what's done is done. And yes OUCH.  Will try and do it again this week (don't know why), but I do seem to lose more when I am on that damn bike.

So did 30mins PT yesterday and then couldn't stand to be in the gym (was all stressed - rating 8 or 9, saw someone else's journal and though that is a good idea).  So I decided to go straight home and then after dinner the bf and I went for a walk around coogee beach, did it in 20mins - we were walking quite quickly and felt a little better (only slightly).  So why am I stressed.  Well we are having an audit at work by the govt and need to supply all this info in which I am preparing for my boss to go over.  At least 60 jobs and well we have limited time to present all the info.  I will be happier and stress free once its all over.  The problem is not finding the jobs but rather stuff I can see which has been done incorrectly and well the company get's fined for that and it couldn't of come at a good time, but what's done is done.  Oh well. Think I need a real good massage and may treat myself this week to one.

It was such a beautiful night last nite when we went for a walk.  It was great.  Its staying much lighter now at 5pm onwards ..

ok, better get back to work

    Jen

Well the plan was to go to the gym last nite. Guess not.  Had to do grocery shopping (before the mad rush) and then well.... we had Gourmet Pizza Kitchen.  Tasted so good but now to get back on track.  Going to gym tonight and going to work hard.  Can feel my waist line expanding and not a good thing!

    Have a good weekend all.

    Re: 14/8/07

Yep, certainly need to change ... I prefer when someone pushes me hard otherwise what's the point of the PT Session???  I want to be pushed to my limits (or as my trainer says, do this exercise till I fatigue - did I just say that???)

Went to the gym both Sat and Sun (pat on back I give to myself).  Sat did Step attack class and Sunday did 20 mins XTrainer, 20mins spin bike (owie), weights and abs for over 30mins and then I had to leave cuz my gym closes at 12pm (another grievance of mine).

I'm finding that by doing a variety of workouts, ie: spin and a different/faster workout in the step attack classes, that I'm actually burning more so therefore losing more.  The problem I have is that the times that they normally have classes don't suit my schedules of Tafe and Life and so for such a long time I have been stuck in a rut and doing cardio and weights which fluctuates between results.  This is so annoying as I want to do more classes but can't.  Oh well, better stop complaining, all will change in October - just getting impatient that's all.

Food has been alright really.  Had Tafe yesterday and again tonight.  Still need to start counting calories properly but at least I am writing everything down.

I know what you mean about variety, Jen! Unfortunately I aint gettin' much right now, but when I do mix things up, the results are much better!

    Re: 20/8/07

Well I am trying to eat well but no matter what I do, I just seem to eat crap.  I would say that 95% of my food intake is good but the daily dosage of chocolate and lollies is just annoying.  I just seem to crave them and I know that I am not a big eater of chocolate and lollies which is the surprise of all.  I'm usually big on chips (savoury items) and have decided that I will be eating bigger lunches just cause I have been eating so little which leaves me to eat crap in the afternoon.

Actually I've just had a brain spark, have been having lots of carbs recently and been wondering why I have been eating crappy foods, perhaps this is why .... hmmm.... ponder....

Well had a kick *** step attack class on Sat and am thinking of doing the spinning class tomorrow morning.  Only problem is that firstly:

    1.  I don't finish Tafe till late on Monday nites

    2. I have Tafe on Tuesday nites

    3.  Not a morning person.

    4.  Weather is crap

So besides all this, will make an attempt to go tomorrow morning, just don't know how successful I will be.

Anyway, just realised I have weigh in on Sat and well I can tell that I haven't lost nor put on which is ashame, another month down the hill......Need to focus.  I guess I need to identify reasons as to why I am sabotaging myself constantly.

    • I'm not tracking properly, actually do it in the night rather than take it with me.
    • Am feeling the "whatever" attitude.  Its okay to have this or its okay to have one more.
    • Not being satisfied with food or not having enough of it
    • Feeling like I should be doing more but am not
    • Not having the time
    • Feeling guilty for eating crappy foods
    • Feeling guilty for not working out
    • Feeling guilty when I am working out for not studying
    • Not being happy with myself cuz Im not showing any signs of improvement really
    • Feeling my waistline is expanding
    • Not having as much energy
    • Feeling like all will be better once I finish Tafe (Nov), start at FF (End Oct)
    • Feeling like I can only focus on one thing at a time
    • Feeling like I should just get over this and stop whinging and get over myself and wasting it with this sort of nonsense.

Okay, that's me.  I think (I will) this week ORGANISE the following:

    • Meal Plans
    • TIMETABLE consisting of work, gym, tafe etc ... and work it into my schedule
    • Will start to drink more water (have started from last week).
    • Will go for walks with my partner (weather permitting).

    Re: 21/8/07

Well do you think I woke up early to go to the gym, no of course not.  Why would I go to a spin class instead of staying in a warm bed.  Hopefully will get to the gym tomorrow as I have to do rego after work.  Actually my calf muscle and ankle are hurting a bit, almost fell down the stairs at work until my quick reflexes and trusty arm clinching the the railing held me up.  God bless some of those muscles for helping me out.  Anyway, am making a concerted effort to eat well today after my bingeing of eating choc coated almonds.
