    I

How long since you were this light?

I was about five kilos heavier than this three and a half years ago, that's about my lightest in recent years.  I can remember when I first went to weight watchers at age 13 I was this weight...... So it has been a while.

My treadmill-trotting plan has not been put into practice - though am being better with my food at the moment and have not been snacking much at all.  It's all taking a while for me to organise..

    Re: yay me

While I must admit I have found my own progress frustratingly slow.

And by the tickler you still hope to loess a lot more weight.

But an answer to the effect that I haven’t weighed this little since I went through puberty.

Does suggest that you are going somewhere that you haven’t been for a long time with you weight.

Persistence will count for a lot.

    Yay me again

I have made progress with my exercise regime - have been hopping on my treadmill regularly and am being a bit more..... disciplined would probably be the word.

Weight loss is still frustrating me, and I don't think it helps that I am craving carbs at the moment.  I am pretty much sick of food at the moment, I get bored with what I should be eating i.e. mainly proteins and want things like vegemite toast/crumpets, crackers, cheese, chocolate!!!!  I think I just need to re-read my pamphlet from the surgeon about what I should be eating, and draw up a plan of attack.

As per usual work is driving me crazy and I would so love to win ozlotto tonight and tell work to go take a flying leap....... the odds of that happening are very very slim [:'(]

    Bad leg/hip woes

I am having dramas with my left leg at the moment - have been told that it is likely a problem with my hip.  I am so achey, and it doesn't help that it has made my knee and ankle sore.

Have been slowly losing weight - should not complain about how slow it is because it's at least going down, but have been feeling pretty flat of late and will soon have my first B12 injection.  Not much else to say.

    Re: Bad leg/hip woes

With my surgery it was suggested to use a cheap multi-vitamin.

While a slow loss may not be as good as a fast loss.

It is a lot better than a slow gain!

    Re: Bad leg/hip woes

I am now only half a kilo away from a 30kg loss - then my next hurdle is only a couple of kilos away to get into the "teens".

Leg is still giving me grief, will see my GP next Friday, or go to the medical centre earlier if I just can't stand it anymore.  Tired today and so looking forward to a  couple of days off work friday and saturday.

Just posting to say Hi and well done: I've recently discovered this site and find the 'community' really helpful. I've read through your posts and you are doing so well! I would be so wrapt to be posting about a 30kg weight loss!! I hope I get there eventually.

    Enjoy your restful time off.

Fit and fabulous here I come

I have been procrastinating about exercise for the last five months.  Giving myself excuses, being too gentle with myself.  Well this morning I have contacted Fernwood (yeah I know, I don't really like the female only gyms, but it seems less threatening at the moment, and less expensive than where I used to go) and hope to hear back from them soon.  If i like it when I go in for my free consultation I will join up hopefully before the end of the month (it's free til the end of this month).

I have joined a support group for people who have had weight loss surgery.  It is USA based so some of their tips and stuff don't apply (like foods etc - they have a better range than us) and it sounds more impressive to say I have lost 65 pounds - though the fact I have 100pounds yet to lose is not so great.......  I don't feel so bad about my weightloss efforts because there are people on the forum who have lost not much more than me, but they are slogging it out at the gym five days a week already - imagine how far I will get when I get back into a good exercise regime.  As well as the fitness benefits of course Wink and the beautifully toned muscles.  I was also more disciplined when I went to a gym as against exercising at home.

Am now 400grams away from my 30kg weight loss goal, so have pulled my finger out and gone back to a more protein based diet - I was so into carbs the last month, and I need the protein to help fix up my muscles and to help my hair stop falling out.  I am molting like my dog (well not quite so bad) so if anyone needed a DNA sample from me at the moment there is plenty of stray hairs about.

Will see my GP on Friday - hopefully she may have a magical cure for my leg woes (I can only wish) and hope to get my B12 shot soon so that my memory is improved..... but maybe that has something to do with my blonde hair at the moment...Stick out tongue

    Great work on the 30kg!

I'd book in to see a physio if you can. If you don't have the cash, ask your GP about referring you under the EPC Medicare Items. If you qualify you'll get 5 visits rebated at $47.50 each visit.

Re: Fit and fabulous here I come

With the milder weather coming is some sort of water based exercise worth considering?

    Congratulations on the weight loss.

Re: Fit and fabulous here I come

Thanks guys, I was thinking along the lines of physio for my bung leg.  It has improved a bit in the last couple of days though - I think maybe concentrating on eating more protein, and adding a protein supplement has made a difference.

Off to Fernwood in the morning..... nervous, but it has to be done.

Re: Fit and fabulous here I come

I joined up at Fernwood..... they really push hard to try and upsell their packages though.  I still have all of my workout programmes from MM, so didn't feel i needed the personal training packages.  I went for the sapphire plan, but really should switch it to the opal - I don't really need Slimplicity coaching....  I have my induction tomorrow morning at 0830 (ouch) I hate mornings.

Went to the Doctor this arvo - all blood tests were excellent, HBa1C down to 7.2% so nearly normal.  And kidneys have improved as well as liver......  And i love her scales - it had me as 120kg.  I am a star patient!!  Had my B12 injection - don't feel fabulous yet, but have Night shift jet-lag so don't feel crash hot on the whole.  I did talk to her about my leg woes, and she has suggested that if i continue to have pain to come back for a physio referral.

Got a new toy to spoil self today - a Navman for the car, so when I take my client to Peat Island Centre on Sunday I won't get lost!!!!  I took some of my clients on a trip to Sydney not long ago, and usually I have a good sense of direction but I got horribly lost, so this time it won't happen - hooray!!!

Tired and babbling so will shove off now.

Re: Fit and fabulous here I come

Me again.... Just realised that I have almost lost half my excess weight - Have lost 32kg and the halfway point is about 38.5kg - woo hoo!!!!!!

Went to my Fernwood induction this morning.  I like it, and think I will do well, though I want to dig out all my programmes from my old Exercise Physiologist.  The machines are a little different to what I have used previously, but overall I am happy that I will do well there.Weights1
