OK, I've had no loss again this week but I do have a small victory to report. I didn't eat when I got home from work last night, YAY ME!!! This is one of my biggest battles, I make up my mind every day that I'm just going to have a cuppa when I get home but always end up eating something, although I must say that my choices have been slightly better lately. I got on the elliptical and bike yesterday then I rode to work again. I really do feel so much better when I do it so why don't I do it more often? LOL!! I really need to start pushing myself a little harder if I want to reach the 5kg by christmas. I'm about to walk down the street and pay my bills then I'm going to ride to work again today. I'm really loving riding to work, even when its cold LOL!! It just makes me feel like I've had that last burst of exercise before I settle for the night. That's about all for today Anna PS. I AM GOING TO LOSE THIS WEEK LOL!!

Hy Vic Chick! You are doing really well! I know what you mean about running out of time and then making some excuse NOT to exercise!...because we all know we feel so much better when we do make the time to do it! Mid morning I find is better for me!(so why I am sitting here!?!?!) (well, it's only early morning here! ) I hope the kittens are well It's good you are making good choices. Will help you on that loss for this week! Oh and re the nuts! Almonds are excellent!...as are Walnuts,Pistachio's,Cashews. Even Macadamia's have made it to the list of heart healthy nuts! Just make sure the nuts are raw! No good for you covered/roasted in fat/salt!

Well I went for my walk down the street yesterday as promised and I rode to work again. Today I'm going to work out at home and then tidy the house. I'm going to exercise before I do the house work so I know its done for the day. Then I will ride to work as well. I did eat some doritos yesterday I knew as soon as I was done that I really shouldn't have done it and also, I really didn't enjoy them that much. Very surprising considering I used to devoir a whole big packet every week in one serving. I'm over the bad food thing I think, I'm loving the fresh fruit and low fat snacks instead. YAY Me!! I have another weekend at my parents to look forward to. My last attempt to stay on track failed a little bit but not this time. Although I must say, I did do better than normal last visit so it should be great this time, I'm feeling very confident. Well, I'd better go get breakfast so I can get moving. I'll see you all after the weekend. Take Care Guys, Anna

Got home from my parents today and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with how I went down there. I made all the right choices but I did over eat a little at dinner last night, we had a barbecue. I did find myself going to her pantry cupboard a few times but closed the door and went for the healthy snacks I'd taken with me. Over all though I'm very happy with my effort. I didn't exercise at all yesterday but I got on the elliptical and bike tonight for 10 minutes each. Another double shift tomorrow so no exercise then either. I'll make myself have a good work out on Tuesday. See ya guys Anna

It's Tuesday again already, geez the days are just flying by LOL!! I did my double shift yesterday (6am to 1am) so I didn't exercise as such but I did ride to work. I really couldn't be bothered riding home last night but I'm glad I did. I just had a really good workout as promised in my last post. I just did 20 minutes on elliptical and 20 minutes on bike with some weights for my arms as well in between. I came to realise today that I'm actually pushing myself harder when I workout and I don't even have to try, it just seems to happen automatically. When I started using the elliptical I used to average a speed of about 10.5 to 11km/hr, now when I get on I average 13.5 to 14km/hr and didn't even realise I was doing it LOL!! I've started going longer now too. I just didn't feel like I was doing enough any more so I added 5 minutes to each machine and now I have to push myself for the last few minutes so I must be working hard enough now. Eating went well yesterday, I took all my own food again so it was easy peasy LOL!! Today I had raisin toast with honey and a coffee for breakfast and I'm going to have a tuna salad for lunch. I'll take a low fat meal of pork patties and vegies for dinner and some fruit for snacks at work. I'm so tired of the scales not moving, it's been 3 weeks now since I lost anything. But I have noticed a change in my body. I have curves now at my waist instead of going straight down (or out) LOL!! and my legs are feeling and looking thinner too, Also my hips and butt are definately not as wide. Is it possible that I'm still toning up even though the scales aren't moving? Can I get thinner and still be the same weight? I'd love to know the answers to these questions. Take Care All Anna

Hi Anna! You are doing really well, there are so many positives in your last few posts, go you!!!!! Oh, and remember, muscle weighs more than fat, hormones have in impact, fluid retention etc. I bet there is a big loss waiting to leap at you!
Caution: Sarcastic and Cynical!!!

Thanks Jane, I'm feeling alot more positive about everything this week and for the last week or so. I think I'm learning to battle the "hassle" times like boredom and tiredness. Being able to walk away from my mothers pantry was such a big thing for me because usually I eat out of it constantly when I'm there. I kind of figured it was obvious about the muscle/fat thing but I just wanted to make sure. I didn't even give hormones or fluid a thought. I just get so annoyed when the scales don't move but I guess if I can see myself getting smaller than thats an acievement too. I hope your right about that big loss leaping at me, I could do with a fright like that LOL!!! Catcha, Anna

I'm still going really well. I rode my bike to work yesterday and got up this morning and did a workout or 20 minutes on each machine again. I feel so much better for adding more time to it. Eating is going really well too. I've noticed some more small changes to my body today as well so that pleased me. I can't wait to get on the scales on Friday and see if I've actually lost this week. I hope so LOL!! I've been craving take aways for a few days. I'm not working friday so I said to Michael we might get some for dinner then. Now I've decided I'm not sure I want to. While I'm really craving it, I don't want to blow all my good work that I've done this week, I'm feeling so good. I'm hoping the craving will pass by then. That's about it from me today, Take care all Anna

Ok Guys, I've been putting this off because I didn't do so great yesterday. I didn't do too much exercise, I walked down town and payed the bills and walked home again, it's probably about an hour and a half walking but it was slow for me because I had my 4 year old with me. I had plans to get on the bike for 20 minutes but I didn't get there. Eating went well all day, until dinner time that is. I had 2 pieces of whole grain toast with vegemite for breakfast with a coffee. I had a salad roll from the bakery for lunch and a low fat yogurt, that's as far as the goode eating went. I gave in to the take away cravings. We got mcdonalds last night. I got the small lean beef burger meal and I have to say I REALLY enjoyed it . Then as if I hadn't sabotaged myself enough LOL!! I had bought a small packet of red rock chips when I did groceries with intentions of deviding them up and have them in small serves...........it didn't happen either. I ate the whole packet last night. So while I'm not overly impressed with what I've done, at the same time I'm thinking, I've worked really hard ALL week, eaten all the right stuff and exercised flat out. And really yesterday was only one day. Today is a new day and I'm not feelinig like I've fallen off the rails, just stumbled a little. It's all good from here on LOL!!!! Oh and it was my official weigh in yesterday. I still havn't lost anything on the scales but I know I've had a really good week so it's not as diappointing as it usually is. I know I've done the best I can and eventually the scales with sigh with relief, it's just a matter of time. Well I better get going. Lots of house work to do today, and exercising to get done Take Care All, Anna

Well, I havn't improved a lot since the last post but I'm getting there. I didn't end up doing any exercise on Saturday either but I did on Sunday. I decided to change the way I use the bike and elliptical. Instead of going slower for a longer time I really push it a lot harder now for a shorter time. I'm back to 10 minutes on each but it's a really hard 10 minutes. Yesterday I did my double shift so, no exercise then either. I've just been on both machines and man do I feel good LOL!!! I really feel like I'm working harder doing it that way. Saturdays food went well until dinner time again. I had been doing house work ALL day and I was quite pooped and Michael had been busy all day too so neither of us felt like doing dinner. We ordered in pizza. Bit slack on my part but Sunday was much better. I ate well all day and we had stir fry and rice for dinner. Yesterday went well too and I know all week I will be back on track. I'm hoping to keep it that way on the weekend but I will confess in advance, we are going to the Colac show this Saturday and will probably buy dinner there. I know I will go with the flow and eat the crap they sell there. Other than that I know I can do OK this weekend. They really are such a struggle for me, I need to beat this "who cares, it's the weekend" thing I keep hearing in my head. I think as long as I can at least manage to do the exercise it will be a big step in right direction of improving my weekend let downs. That's all from Me for today, Take Care All Anna

It's been so long since I posted. I really have been so slack LOL!!! My eating has been fine mostly. On a whole I probably could have done a lot better. We went to the show on Saturday night and I actually did pretty well there. They had chicken and salad wraps which I chose instead of chips. The chicken was processed and a little crappy but better than the other options I feel. Sunday I seemed to pick all day and felt so full and sick by night time. Could have made some better choices about what I ate then too. Other than that though my eating has been pretty well on track. I havn't done any exercise since the last post. Don't even really know why either. Just been busy and didn't push myself to make time. I did elliptical and bike again today though so hopefully I'm back on track with that now too. I weighed myself on friday and I've still not lost any on the scales. It did please me though to have my Mum comment a couple of times that I am losing it, I'm looking thinner. I guess something is happening somewhere, I'd like to see it on the scales though LOL!!! After this weeks effort I'm a bit scared to get on the scales, I don't want to have put any back on. I am feeling a little down today, don't knkow why, just am, it's not helping me much, I just can't be bothered. Tomorrow should pick up after some exercise today I hope. Take Care All, Anna

As the heading says I'm feeling a lot better today, much happier. We had a roast for dinner last night and I cooked mine with cooking spray instead of in the oil like the others. It was very nice. I really got the munchies last night after the kids went to bed but I didn't give in to it. I know I wasn't hungry I was just bored sitting here by myself watching TV so I got up and done some ironing instead. Very proud of myself. Exercised again today and going to work soon so I'll be riding then too. Early night tonight so I'm looking forward to an earlyish bed time tonight. Not sure whats for dinner yet. I'll eat when I get home from work so not sure if Michael will keep me something or I'll get a meal out of the freezer. Take Care, Anna

Ok, well!! Dinner was kept for me last night but they had maccas. Michael did get me a lean beef burger and chips and he helped me out by drinking my coke so I couldn't LOL!!! Probably not what I would have chosen but he tried so what can I say. I had a really big breakfast today of baked beans, low fat cheese and fat free ham on multi grain toast. I don't think I will need a big lunch. Maybe just a salad or something. I rode to work yesterday and it was really tough riding home. It was really windy and it was head on. Slow but hard lol!!! Its alright though I didn't mind working a little harder. I'm going for a jog around the footy oval soon with Michael. Michael has decided he would like to lose some kilos too. So now I can pass on what I'm learning to someone who will actually listen. He went for a jog by himself yesterday and he wants me to go with him today. I could do with a little change from the bike and elliptical so it should be good. It's great to have someone to do this with finally. He has always supported me but I didn't think he would actually join me LOL!!! We've got the kids school concert to go to today at 12.30 then its off to work for me, riding of course. Michael says he's off the take aways now so that means healthy dinners for every one now YAY!!!! As I'm writing this my tae bo dvds just got delivered to my door. This day is just getting better and better LOL!!! Take Care, Anna
