    Re: Keeping on

Did you get carpal tunnel syndrome with the other pregnancies? I had never even heard of it until I was 34 weeks pregnant with #1, and used to wake up in the middle of the night in agony, in tears and barely able to move my hands. I had it every pregnancy, then it would go away after the baby was born.....except last time!!! I still get it if it's hot, or I sleep with my wrists sort of folded over!!! It's a bugger, isn't it?!

Sounds like you need to start winding down a little - and not forgetting lunch time!!! If only I knew where my pump was, I'd give it to you (I think it's probably in a box in the garage, along with so much of our stuff atm!!!)  Alison

    Re: Keeping on

Luckily, I've only got tingling and no pain, though I've read that it's pretty severe for some.  This is the first time I've had it.  I'll get it checked out though because my self-diagnosis mightn't be right, might be circulation.  As for the pump, it's one of those plug-in-the-wall types that the hospital use and are hired out by chemists and the ABA, you have to buy your own kit to attach to it, which I got on ebay for $20.  They are great, just set the tempo and watch tv.  I used a borrowed one for the other two babies and it preserves sanity.

    Re: Keeping on

Yep, carpal tunnel, nevermind.  And yep, sounds like hypoglycemia, small meals regularly.  And BP, yep, up a little to 138/78, but not too much to worry about.  So all ok.  Had a long morning with Dr's at Hospital and then meeting with therapist at school, then back to Mum to pick up Cameron and discuss a couple of problems she's having.  Cam off to bed, and I'm going to have a couple of ham, cheese and tomato jaffles and a sit before heading off to collect big boy.  Zoom, went the day.

Glad no big dramas with doc visit! :) Don't forget to put your feet up and breathe a bit - will help your BP & help you ground before the big day!

    Big luv

    Re: Keeping on

Officially 35 weeks today, not much more to go.  Lots going on but not much to say, and I know y'all know what I mean!  Snacking more.  Waddling about.  I've hired a skip/bin which Andy has to fill with old prunings so we can have the dog run back in the backyard.  Going to hire a carpet cleaner and take turns with Andy doing the main floors and couch on the weekend and tick off that job.  Isn't that all exciting - not!

    Re: Keeping on

Lol, we ended up not doing the carpets because we picked up some social events, so that'll have to wait for a couple of weekends.  But at least the backyard is tidied up.

Had a 36 week check-up with GP, everything is status quo.  My weight roughly 107kgs.  All fun.

    Re: Keeping on

Thanks ladies!  Rather chuffed that my weight is creeping up rather than out of control like the other pregnancies, particularly with all this fluid.

I'm off this weekend for two nights with a bunch of women, most of whom I don't know, renting a place down the Peninsula.  They are putting me in the snore-proofed bungalow so *I* can have rest!  We'll play billiards, do some scrapbooking, eat out for dinner, walk at the beach, that sort of thing.  No whiny "Muuuummmm" sounds for two days!  Though seriously, Cameron is very clingy to me and it will be a good trial for when I'm in hospital.  I think Andy's looking forward to hanging out with his little boys and playing Van Halen/Eagles and whatever he likes as loud as he likes.

    Re: Keeping on

Survived the weekend away with the girls, they had lots of wine and sang Singstar, sat with my feet in the spa, did some scrapbooking with the kit I got 18 months ago!  I ate well but nothing outlandish, had a nice baked flounder at rosebud pub and some brushetta, and also a well-made simple chicken tomoato and rocket risotto in Mornington on the way home.  I did get home last night and spent about 2 hours getting the washing put away, tidying up, doing the reader, that sort of thing!

Curriculum day tomorrow for us.  Neighbour's boy visiting and they are running amok in the house, lots of squealing boys!
