    Re: Just keep going

I've tried the last two days to do some exercises but been interrupted by childrens needs.  All I can do is what I can do, if thtat maks sense, and at least it's been 5 mins more than I would've done.  Bit of a shocker last night so I'll have to get some sleep today or be a zombie all day.

    Re: Just keep going

Did tready last two days running although it's been interrupted by household goings-on.  Did a big grocery shop today which was about three hours of slow walking.  Getting sleep though still lucky to get more than two hours in one hit.

    Re: Just keep going

Thanks Jane.  I can see some light at the end of the tunnel, he has one longer sleep in the evening (4 hours) and then the rest are about 2-3 hours.  Eventually ythat four hour sleep will expand to five and six hours and I'll start getting normal sleep patterns again.  Despite how it sounds, I surprisingly feel quite reasonable, and strangely calmer too.

Cam had an excellent morning at kinder (I have Liam in a hug-a-bub sling), lots of people noticing the difference in his behaviour, he's much more relaxed with people and not a single tantrum.  His communication is improving and I can give him an instruction and he'll comprehend it, sometimes.  So it's a bit of relief to see him developing as I've had concerns.  I sat inside and fed Liam while Cam played outside at kinder with all the others and he didn't have a pink fit about it and had a good old time with the other kids.

Planning to get exercise this afternoon when Andy gets home from work.  Right now I'm heading for the couch to doze while Cam plays and has video on.

    Re: Just keep going

I've been overwhelmed by everyone's offers of help, at school and by friends & neighbours - it's a sign that 'community' still exists - especially where babies and children are concerned.

We should endeavour to have another 'coffee' again, perhaps after next lot of school holidays.

Did 30mins on tready today at avg of 110bpm.

    Re: Just keep going

Hi Lala, Nice to hear from you!  We're all doing quite well.  I've had to be more organised and focussed than I've ever been - especially in the mornings getting the 7yo's brain on the job and coaxing the 2yo into co-operating and all while getting up 3-4 times a night to feed still.  I'm a better mum for it all, though no-one would ever hire me to do their housework, just taking a look around here!!  Lol  Nevermind.

    Re: Just keep going

I dread to think what our house will look like after baby comes.  Dad to be is one big kid.  We've got 5 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms and one big old dog as well as a huge yard.  Just when I think the house is tidy a bomb goes off somewhere... actually dad-to-be and the dog have a great old time doing the vaccuming together.  I might just have to get them doing it more often.

Glad to hear you're doing well after Liam's arrival except for the lack of sleep.  I guess it won't be long now and he'll be sleeping right through.  My friend's little one is about 2 weeks older than Liam and she's been sleeping 12 hours straight for about the last month. If only all of us were that lucky....

    Re: Just keep going

Still lacking in the sleep department but had a chat with mat health nurse yesterday and will try a couple of different things.  Think it would help if he wasn't carted about to shops, drs, nana's, kinder, school pick-up and drop-off, etc....very good baby really!

So six weeks today, all clear by the doc yesterday.  Hopped on the scales yesterday and was 98.8kgs, so I'm only carrying 2-3kgs more.  I weigh less than when I finished work ayear ago and was 101kgs - so I'm quite pleased with how I've done.

I'm taking my measurements etc on July 1st, as good a place as any to start and aiming for under 90kgs in 12 weeks.

    Re: Just keep going

Glad to hear your 6 week checkup went ok and you're down to double digits again.  I'm feeling a little like buddha at the moment- I had ultrasound #4 today and there's a 7 pound 3 ounce person in there that might be aiding my feeling huge.  Not long now...

    Re: Just keep going

Walked the dog yesterday in his new halti headstall and lead rope, made him much easier to handle.  Then today I took myself away for an hour's walk, just by myself, which was a nice change.
