    Spin / RPM Class

I did my first Spin class in a long while today and really enjoyed it. I really smashed myself, I thought my legs were going to give out during the class and was pretty light-headed at the end. Loved it! :)

Makes me BEYOND happy to hear someone has made YOU sweat! LOL! My Fenix has the funkiest Spin room, it has a really cool city lights mural all round the edges!

    Re: Spin / RPM Class

    Hi Ray

I did RPM this morning at 6:15am - there was only 3 of us + instructor. Got to love cold Bathurst winters!!! Sooooooooo freezing. I did it 4 weeks ago for first time in yrs but have been sick with a cold for last few weeks. I love it.

This morning was great. Is it stupid trying to do such a high intensity cardio class like RPM on an empty stomach?

I'm going to back off a bit though with my resistance and sprinting as my HR is too high - like close to max according to the 220-age formula. I'm 28, my max is 192 and this morn it spiked to 180-188 during some ofthe hill climb sets (not sure about the sprints - will take more notice next time). My heart working way too hard! Should I keep it at 160-170, Ray?

Had a look at thenewme web site. Looks good. Hope its going well for you and Adro. Would love to come down for a few weeks. Got no time or money though at the moment. I'm a poor student for a few more months and THAT'S IT. I think I remember writing in my journal here that I was doing my first semester. How 2 1/2 yrs flies????

    Re: Spin / RPM Class

    Hi Jules,

If you're doing the early session try to have something light to eat beforehand.

With the Spin class, 160-170 is fine if you feel ok afterwards. Remember that the 220-age is just a general guide and not always the set thing.
