I'm pleased I haven't had any gains and yo-yo's in the past 7 weeks. It's really demotivational when you gain and the next week you just lose what you gained so it's like you're not getting ahead. Really want to avoid that. I took the long way to school today and clocked up an hours walk. Plus kinder had an excursion on the trains this morning and we walked a short way to and from the station. It was blissfully non-eventful.

Just read AJane's post about a friend who worked up to running 9km in an hour. This was following my weigh-in where I gained back the 0.6kgs I'd lost the previous week. There are a couple of good reasons for the gain: a) wore heavier pants b) ate dinner beforehand and c) just not getting enough exercise time, my eating was fine albeit one small indiscretion. So rather than feel grumpy and put-out, I feel all challenged now, because I've got a bit of a plan. I'm going to take up jogging again but on the tready. I'm going to get on at 7pm each night as by that time the apocalypse is pretty much over and Andy can deal with it. Housework can be completed in the other 23 and a half hours of the day. I can jog with a sports bra (I hope). The tready won't wake up a child that wasn't going to wake up on their own anyway. And I've done 10mins on the bike because I can. And I feel so much better.

I got on tready for 20 mins - 10mins at 5kph, 5mins at 5.5kph, 2mins at 6kph, 3mins at 5kph. Tomorrow we're off to the Show. We're taking food and drink, I've made muffins to take and got some crackers. Should be good, meeting my mum there so we have enough help, Andy taking the day off so he can take Lachlan on rides. Because we'll be walking a lot probably, not expecting to get on tready tomorrow night. Oh, and I remembered to buy a WW dinner so they can have takeaway and I can zap mine.

Survived the Show. Mild sunburn. Half my forehead is red because I had my fringe on the side. Kids did very well and Nana made it through the day in one piece. Lots of walking, slowly, in the crowds. Didn't buy ANY food at the show. Andy and Lachlan had one of those hot dogs on stick things. I ate two small freddo's from the showbag. Stuck to the food we brought and had the two leftover rolls for dinner while the others had takeaway - that I had to pick up!! So I've done very well today. No tready because I've moved enough for today.

Did 5mins on tready last night and realised it was impossible with 2yo in my face so stormed off and walked round the block in the dark. Came home and had row with Andy about discussion on Monday night when I had asked for his support so I could get on tready between 7-7.30pm and was told 'sure, go for it.' Then got lectured about all the support he gives me, and yes he does. Surely, I shouldn't have to fight this hard to get 30 mins kid-free time. Baby still hasn't slept through in more than four months, getting up 2-3 times a night. I could use a night of real sleep. Anyway, I think I deserve some stinky blue-vein cheese to go with my whine! No, not really, yuk.

Well done on the show, Lorna! I HATE the show, too many people, etc etc. Maybe I should live in a mudbrick house in the rainforest???? It is really hard, when you don't feel supported in this, And I get that andy IS supportive, you just need that little bit more at times. I am really proud that you stormed around the block though, maybe two laps next time and the row could be not so heated? LOL! HUGS, it is difficult at times. When Josh was a baby he was a demon sleeper, up 6 times a night, and rarely asleep during the day. DH and I had a deal, where when he got home, I gave him 20 minutes to chill and transition from work, and then he took over, and dealt with josh until DH went to bed at about 12.30 (night owl!) Plus one night on the weekend he would saleep in the lounge and I would not have to get up to Josh, Kept us sane, but eventually sleep school turned our demon into an angel who slept 13 hrs straight at noght, and with 3 naps of 2 hrs long during the day! hang in there, it is challenging.
Caution: Sarcastic and Cynical!!!

I guess I may have done the typical female thing and not actually spelt out that, hey Andy, you need to look after the kids while I'm on the treadmill!! Poor mere male! Anyhow, he's got the message. Got out of house, took neighbours kid with us to the skate park and then they ran around on the running track and did long jump so that was cool. But since we've been home, there's been tears and fights, neighbour's kids gone home to give our household some chill out time! Lachlan was an awful sleeper too and didn't sleep through til 18 months, Cameron's been great, and Liam is somewhere in between the first two. I'm experimenting with some baby cereal and feeding him up more in the day because he seems genuinely hungry at night, not just waking because he wants mum. Anyway, things have settled down again, Cam's gone potty and is much more pleasant! Onwards and upwards.

Lol, Ray, he should know better after 19 years! He did a great job entertaining the 2yo (baby was asleep and 7yo on computer). And, Jane, they do grow up so quick. Cam can poo in a toilet now, and Liam rolled from tummy to back today. I look forward to the day when they don't require so much from me, but I'm careful what I wish for! I did 40mins in the end, 30 on tready and 10 on bike because I was going strong. Avg HR 127 and max HR 147. Tomorrow I'll do 20mins cardio and some strengthening exercises, which I really need.
