    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

Well,...(getting back to this journal !!!!)....I think I've kinda hit rock bottom again. Too scared to weigh myself (don't ned to, I can tell by the fact my clothes are all getting tight.....) and I just feel YUCK. I've been eating really badly. Exercise has been ok, but I even feel a bit lacking in enthusiasm about that as well at the minute.Went to the chiro last week, and I have bursitis in my hip, which explains the pain - hopefully that will go. As for the eating, I need to do a serious turn around and get my act together so I can feel "happy & healthy" again!!!Roll on BL3 - I need some inspiration!!!And I need to lose this weight so I can wear a bikini in Noosa when we go !!!(ok, so that's just a vanity issue, but the health bit IS the most important thing!Smile [:)] Alison

    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

Hey Alison, I hear you on the exercise working/ food being a struggle thing!! I'm sorry that you're feeling so crap and finding it such a challenge - but remember:

"It's better to try and to stumble than to never try"

and since you are so good at constantly setting yourself goals and monitoring what you're doing you certainly fit into the first category rather than the second!

I have to ask - where do your kids go to kinder and which gym are you a member of? And did you say your big kids were at Blackburn Secondary?

    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

Hey coops - have you been away, I haven't noticed you lately?!Good to hear from you.

Actually, normally I LOVE exercising - my own head space, etc...The food thing I've probably never had great control over (mind you it didn't used to matter, weight-wise!!!Hmm [^o)])

Hubby reckons I'm "events motivated" -ie Coldplay concert!!!! Oh, I SOOOO need Coldplay to come back here!!!Broken Heart [U] - oh, for lots of reasons, not diet!!!

My daughter is at Taralye kinder (she's not hearing impaired, in case you were wondering) - they have a great programme, and it's a lovely setting, but quite hard to get into, b/c of course they give preference to hearing impaired kids, then siblings of hi kids. I don't have any kids at high school yet - yikes, don't scare me -I'm not ready for that yet!!!The boys are all at primary school. I go to Nunawading Aqualink, the council-run gym, where the pool is, and the kids have their swimming lessons there too.

    Hey Alison,
What was recommended as exercise with the bursitis?  Are you still allowed to run?

Maybe you need to start a new sport or something? That might get some motivation back into ya?

    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

    'morning, Mel

Well, she didn't tell me to stop running, but , as it happens, I haven't run at all since I saw her. I have to go back today, and she wants me to bring the runners that Active Feet recommended, as she said the problem often originates at the foot (which also makes sense, as the runners I was wearing were all wrong, caused blisters, had no padding!!!)I just have to massage & ice every day.

I've basically done zip for the last 5 days (except the ol' hand lifting to mouth exercise - done waaay too much of that lately!!!*lol*) I think I'll be right once the kids go back to school on Monday, and we're back into routine. Now that it's getting lighter in the am, I'm going to start doing 3 x 6:10am classes a week. Even though I am SOOOO not a morning person, I feel so much better once I've done an early class. So, I'll get there - and I guess it's not the end of the world that I've been a bit lazy this week!!! I ate pretty well yesterday, so if I can focus on continuing to do that, it will all be ok - the exercise thing will be ok, I know I'll suddenly feel too restless to keep doing nothing, 'cos I really do enjoy it!

    Have a great day!!!Big Smile [:D] Alison

    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

Oh, I hear oyu on the school thing! I cannot wait!!!! I am really "hot and cold" on motivation etc with them home, and findng the time to fit in the exercise sucks, too! As soon as I get on the treadmill something is needed, or someone falls over or walks into a wall.................... And of course holidays have coiincided with DH having late nights, so getting on at night is not happening, either!

Hope you get that foot/hip sorted!

    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

Hey Alison, I hear that Taralye is really great! Because our kids are two now all of my mothers' group are looking at kinders, and a couple of them are looking at Taralye - except of course that it's so hard to get into! Fortunately I don't have to find a kinder because the kids' child-care centre has 4- and 5-year old kinders, and is about to introduce a 3-year old kinder, so my kids will naturally move into those. Yay for not having to deal with that stress - I'm stressed out enough with having to find a primary school for them!

And, I just have to know - what is burstitis? Where's the burst that ends up with the itis lol?!

I'm with you on the morning classes too - my new PT sessions are 6:45am, to get me into the habit of doing 6:15am classes! But I don't think either of us will have a problem because it's amazing how addicted you get to that endorphin kick!
