Re: After a week on Weight Watchers

Well I can't wait till Tuesday night and my next weigh in.  I actually feel lighter now.

I also can't wait to share the things I've been learning about myself.  Like the fact that I don't really need to eat so much food- I was eating way too much before and I think that's why the weight was soo slow to come off.

    Anyway I'll keep you posted.

Re: After a week on Weight Watchers

I can report another loss this week- 1.6kg.  In two weeks I have lost a total of 3.8kg.  Am aiming for a 1.2kg loss this week to bring the total to 5kg in 3 weeks.

I am also winning our Biggest Loser comp at work.  Someone put it in simple terms for me- I've lost just under 8 tubs of margarine in 2 weeks.  Woohoo!

Re: 3 weeks into Weight Watchers

Some of the girls doing the comp are about to get a roasting... they've started with the "she's lost 5kg in 3 weeks I can't compete with that so I'll just give up now".  They're getting a reminder that this is all supposed to be about improving our health.

Meanwhile the girl I sit next to is sick again.  She's had too much of the blood thinning medication & is now covered in bruises.  She hasn't been at work for 3 days- I'm guessing she's in hospital again.

    Football Fever

Well I went to my first live football game last night- Broncos v Cowboys at Scumcorp Stadium.  I can't believe it took me so long to get around to going to see a live game.  Mind you I had a little help getting excellent tickets from work (row 4 behind the southern goalposts).  Would you believe I got a double pass from work (cost me nothing but an hour or two of my time) and none of my friends wanted to go for free.  Bad luck to them cos next time I won't offer I'll just sell it to a scalper or something.

    Week 4

My 4th week came to an end last night. I lost 1kg.  In total 6kg loss in 4 weeks.  Last year it took me 4 months to lose 6kg on my own.  I can say I've learnt a lot about what I was doing wrong.

Some of the women at my weight watchers meeting are wondering how I have a decent loss each week.  Turns out I'm still writing down every single thing I eat and counting points.  They're not.  It's making a pretty big difference to how much we all lose each week.

Some of the other fatties at work are jealous that I'm having success and they're not.  Well work will pay for them to join Weight watchers too.  It hasn't been that hard.

    Re: Week 4

I saw my mum yesterday for the first time in about 3 weeks- I was 5kg heavier then- and she was shocked.  She couldn't believe how different I look.

Also saw someone over the weekend I haven't seen in 6 weeks.  He nearly walked straight past me and was also shocked.  Losing just a few kgs has made such a difference to how I look.

Yesterday I had to go buy some new clothes because the old ones are far too big now.  I had a hard time accepting that I'm actually that small now.  When I was looking at them in the shop I thought it'd be a couple of weeks before they fit but nope I'm wearing them now.

    Week 5

Well the honeymoon is over so to speak. Only a .1kg loss this week.  Just means something's gotta change now.  I think I know what I have to do- increase exercise.

    Re: Week 5

    Hey there,

Your doing so well.  Keep up all the good work.  Don't worry about this weeks loss, a loss is stilll a loss.  Just stay focused, sounds like you know what your doing.

sounds like you know what to do Yes it is really hard when you lose enough for yourself and other people to notice and then it slows down.

i'm due for another plateau soon (and i didn't do myself any favours this weekEmbarrassed)
