I think that having a journal will make those special moments momentus cuz as we grow up, we tend to forget things. Ruby, I think its great how you reacted to when your child drew on the wall - So many people are quick to scream and you handled that really well. Just remember, you could always bring this out at the 21st birthday and Im sure your kids would appreciate it.
You definately need to have "me" time. Its gotta to be difficult being mums - i have no kids (actually i can't picture myself with kids at the moment). So enjoy life as it is so precious and we never know what's around the corner.

Jen, sounds like you'd make a good mum! And I agree, too many good moments pass from memory. They're worth remembering. My son loves stories of when I was a girl (and it's a real stretch to think back that far!), and one day he'll have his kids wanting to know what he did as a child, and his favourite games, what he enjoyed, what he hated. A journal would be as much for the boys as it would for me. I've actually got a blank mock-up of a book that I can use as a diary, I got it down off the top of the bookcase yesterday - just need to start jotting in it.
Yes, Aussiejane - top knotch little kinder this one, and hardly anyone knows it's there. There's roughly 13-15 children in his group so the adult to child ratio is great.
Well, it's a part of my life that's passed on, and this baby will probably go into family day care sometime next year, then go to the same kinder if it can be arranged.
5yo is home today - had a great day planned - kinder in the morning then lunch at Italian restuarant with kinder mums and then lake to catch up with another mum and her 5yo twins & toddler daughter in beautiful weather. But alas, boy-o sick and really short on breath so went up to the dr's and got antibiotics. He's sleeping now and he'll wake up perky tomorrow no doubt.
And because this journal is actually meant to be about weight loss (who'd thought!), I'm going well on that front, working towards another loss on Monday, I can feel it. I'm walking for 40+ mins per day as fast as I can go, and today I did 70 mins because dh got home early and house was calm so I took advantage of it. I need to start my home circuit again because I haven't done it all week - tomorrow night I will. And dietary-wise, still eating sensibly and to 1500 cals, give or take 50.

Have lost another 0.3kgs. Slowly chipping away at it. Saturday I made casserole and had two helpings, then had a couple of handfuls of Kettle chips. Yesterday I stuck to 1200 cals to make up for it, and today I have 750 cals leftover for dinner tonight.
I've been walking 40+ mins each day, but not today because I can't take the kids out in this weather...bbrrrrr! I've had the 5yo at gymnastics, now baby's asleep, I'll go get ready to go out to dinner. Yay, feels pretty good to be going out....but a little weird because it's semi-strangers...you know what I mean! Should be an entertaining night and it'll be nice to meet everyone.

I think Aussiejane would call tonight 'bizarre' and it's an apt description, because my car carked it on the way in. So we abandoned it in Richmond and taxi'd the rest of the way. Had a very fun time, great meal, lotsa photos. I was struck by the big personalities of our fellow forum people. If others are hesitant about meeting forum members because it's over the internet and you don't really know who you're talking to, it's okay, no axe-murderers!
As for the TBL guys, they were really comfortable and forward, introduced themselves and settled in for a chit chat. I was struck by the open and generous spirits of particularly Adro, Dave, Shane and Wal.
How good is Aussiejane? She stuck with me, broken car and all. So we went back and poured 6 litres of water (donated by this great little pub at 100 Swan St), managed to start it, and got to Hawthorn when the temperature went zipping up to high, and I pulled over, lot of water coming out the bottom, similar to a head gasket problem two years ago, bum. We abandoned the car again and caught the train home (thx Jane, with the pram!). Unfortunately, RACV says someone must be there to hand over the car, don't quite know how that's going to happen with two kids, might send my dh in first thing (he's going to be sooooo happy about that!), because you see, it's in a onehour parking zone at 9am.....well, I'm sure things will work out.
Just another example of you can't control all the things that happen to you in life, but you can choose how you react to them.
You know how you look back on things and have a laugh....well, aussiejane can laugh without having to wait to look back! It's was great being broken down with you; you kept me sane! Thank you!

Would you believe that my dh got to the car this morning and rang me to say that it was the fan belt after all, I couldn't see it in the dark without a torch, and I was looking at the power steering belt anyway ! no need to tow! Big yay! so he waited for RACV guy (had to join) and the belt was $17. Much cheaper than a head gasket. No parking ticket! Had an excursion with 5yo and baby on the train to Hawthorn and we're home with car now. Back to my usual home insanity! Only slept 4 hours last night. Ha! And! hopped on the scales this morning to discover I'd lost 800 grams in excitement!
Mate, I feel so lucky right now, gotta buy a Tatts ticket!

Thanks Miller, that made me laugh. So you come too, next time we get together or fun run or something, ok?
I loved meeting everyone! I had 4 hours sleep last night, but I'm still on a buzz I think!
Today walked to the station with kids (20mins). Did home circuit almost twice through before baby woke. Took two kids and errant puppy for most annoying walk up to post box (30mins). None of this was good cardio, so will get out tomorrow with baby in pram or if he's not cooperating, then I'll just bugger off when the dh gets home from work and he'll be fine. That's the attitude.
