    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

Oh, that's nice to not have to worry about kinder !We are very lucky where we live, coops, we have so many good state schools w/in the area, as well as a choice of private as well, so don't stress tooo much! We are extrememly happy with the (state) primary school our kids are at -AND it's 900metres from our house-yay!The only prob is that it has such a great reputation that it's attracting pretty big numbers (132 preps this year - my son's in prep, and already 103 enrolled for next year - including my daughter!!!)  That's fine for 1 or 2 years, but pretty hard to sustain over a period of several years!!! Anyway, if you want any info, send me a pm, I have friends with kids in most of the schools around Whitehorse!!!

Just been to Scienceworks with my 4 and an extra 1 -dunno about them, but I'm pooped!!! Now we're going to hubby's work to meet friends for dinner (kids having pizza , we'll have Japanese -at least that's healhty take away!!!) and to watch a movie on the projector screen!Should be fun. Then tomorrow I'm having my hair cut, son #3 has a party, then we're heading down to Phillip Island to watch the Grand Final and stay till Sun pm. Go Swannies  !!! ....they're the closest thing to a Vic team we've got....sigh!!!Big Smile [:D] Have a great w/end everyone!  Alison

    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

Shame about Sydney, but hey, let's move on to next year, and my true feelings...GO TIGERS !!!

Anyway, you can imagine the rubbish I ate on the w/end...I won't elaborate....

    Now, let's move on.........

New week, new month, and only 5 weeks till I'm in glorious Noosa sunning myself by the pool in a .....bikini!!! Yikes!!!!!! Time for some SERIOUS action!!! I know, I know, you've heard it all before, BUT, I think I've got my mojo back, as Austin Powers would say!!*lol*

Hubby is also wanting to lose some chub, so we've decided  to follow the  Sureslim programme that we did a few yrs ago, just a little relaxed.Basicall, it's low carb, but you are allowed 2 pcs fruit p/day, and you can't gorge yourself on fat or anything like that!!!So we'll both be keeping each other honest!

Walked boys to school, then daughter to kinder (4.5km round trip) , then drove to where we used to live and did a 6km (approx) run, which was nice -such a beautiful day here today! Will do a 6:10 am pump class , then a cardio session @ the gym 9-10 tomorrow - I hope - daugter's on the waiting list for creche b/c of missing last week due to school hols !Grrr!

So, anyway, feeling positive!Big Smile [:D] Alison

    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

Ate much better yesterday - no choc!!*lol*!

Did early pump class, even though  I didn't sleep v well last night. Then was going to gym, but didn't get  a creche spot - grr -so chucked girl & pram in car and drove to same place as yesterday and did the 6km track pushing (very heavy) daughter in pram. Jogged more than walked - took 36 mins, so that's ok! Early step class tomorrow(haven't actually done step for about  a year or more, so should be interesting!!!), and keep eating good stuff!!!Wink [;)] LOL at your last comment, mel, comingfrom "superwoman " herself!!! Grin1 [grin1] Alison

    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

Step class this am was great. Haven't done step in about a yr and half, I think I'll enjoy doing it again. I actually found it really easy, fitness-wise, even the running up and down on the step track-yay! Was lots of fun!

Thought I ate ok yesterday, until I think about all the bread I ate yest a/noon!!! (not normally my thing....not sure why I did that...maybe the smell of fresh bread...!)Same old problem, really - I'm good until about 4pm when kids are home and ravenous and eating everything that's not moving!!!

Anyway, haven't eaten any choc - had a couple of sweet bikkies, too (naughty!!!!!!!!!!)So, I'm not doing so well on the low carb part of my low carb diet , BUT, I actually din't feel like beating myself up about it - I'm doing plenty of exercise, trying to drink lots of water, and trying to think positively , too. A bit of bread ain't gonna kill me!!!!(.....Actually it's not very good for me as I have a yeast intolerance and have paid the price a bit this morning , so I'll ease up on the bread - lol!)

Planning to eat well today, hoping to walk with family this evening, and early pump class tomorrow!

Have a great day everyone!Big Smile [:D] Alison

    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

Hey Alison, great that you still managed to do well in your class today! That must have been really nice :)

The book I was talking about in my journal was If not dieting then what? by Dr Rick Kausmann. He talks about not focusing on the scales and focusing more on when, why and what we eat. He's a medical doctor who specialises in over-weight and obesity. It is *sensational* and I can't recommend it highly enough!!

    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

Umm, well, errrr.......yes, the chocolate thing...as I said, the weekend was NOT good -choc thing went out the window.Embarrassed [:$]

Soooo....it's been a whole 3 days!!!!! I'm going to go now and write on the calendar "no chocolate" on Monday's date, so I have a start date for my "no chocolate" challenge!!!! Mel - maybe you need to keep asking me to keep me accountable!!!!!!

Went on a family walk last night, which turned out to be a little bit painful, as #2 son lost the plot, and whinged half way (tired after swimming!!!).Did early pump class this am, which was great. Going to story time @ library later (daughter loves that!).Tomorrow I normally do pump , but we're  # 5  on the waiting list for the creche!!! It's SO frustrating - I can't put the older 2 in creche in school hols, adI can't leave them alone at the cafe part of the gym (or pool, obviously!), then I lose my normal creche spots!!!!GRRRRRR!Angry [:@] On Tues it was ok, 'cos the weather was nice, and I just went for a run, but on Fridays, daughter has swimmimg lesson after my  pump class, so I have to go there anyway!!!Being #5 , I doubt she'll get in tomorrow!!!

    ....sorry, just venting!!!  Alison

    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

wahoooooo Noosa!! I will be working up there next year in April with my sister in law (builders cleans)

It sounds like your excercise is going great.. good on you for getting up and doing a class at 6am.. im on day 3 of setting the alarm for 6:15 and GETTING out of bed.. lol its weird coz this time last year when we first moved up to QLD i was out of bed before 5am due to the change of climate and it being bright in my bedroom at an ungodly hour!

I hope you enjoy Noosa and are comfortable enough to get into that bikini!!

    Re: Chocaholic's progress report

Yes, Jane, it IS annoying about creche!!!I only have the girl @ home now - 3 boys all @ primary school, and she's off to school next yr, so I won't be limited to creche hours @ gym, and I won't have to worry about creche SPOTS any more!!!

LadyWolf - how gorgeous is Noosa?! This will be our eighth time(?) We've driven the last couple of times (Melb- Noosa with 4 kids!!!) which was fine -they all travel well....and we have a dvd player in the car(!!!)And we actually went in March this year. We don't normally go twice, but we got REALLY good air fares, so we decided to "just do it"!!!!Yay - can't wait!! We stay in Noosaville, overlooking the river, which is beautiful. Earlier in the year when we went, I got up @ 6 every other morning and ran in to Noosa Heads and back (about 5km 'round trip) which was great - and I plan to do that again this time. I'm just hoping it's not too humid - that's what I find a bit hard to cope with!!!So, it would be good to lose about 5 kilos before we go.....I just have to get off the sweet food thing I'm stuck in at the minute!!!Lol!!!Hmm [^o)]  Alison
