    Re: Wednesday

Hi Jane- all the best for the surgery, hope it goes well. Can't say I've had any experience with that type of surgery, so I can't offer any advice! Is it keyhole, or not? I have had 4 cesaereans, an was lucky enough to recover really well, so hopefully that'll be your experience too, and you can get back into things a bit quicker than they say (not that I'm advocating that - just hope you recover quickly!!!!) Re: Wednesday

    Well said, Don.

Funny, when I mentioned to Andy about hysterectomies (maybe it's the age I'm entering, but I know quite a few women who are having one atm), he thought it was a good way to drop weight too!  In reality, I don't think it helps with the weight much, but at least a whole heap of womens problems are blotted out in one go, and you can move on.  Good luck with it when it goes ahead.  Just make sure they leave your sense of humour intact!

    Re: Wednesday

Apparently Gordon Ramsay does not swear at home, which makes me laugh!

Alison, they are hoping to do it by keyhole or better, so we will find out on the day, I guess! The actual procedure does not worry me at all, thankfully.

OK, so 2 of the kids wanted to do Kidzfit so down we went. I did 15 minutes treadclimber, 15 minutes elliptical, then grabbed an apple! LOL! all up today I have done an hour and a quarters exercise which is better than I have done in a week!

Just me, but I would totally have the shits big time if I had surgery and lost weight,  only to find that I had an inoperable brain tumour.  Life just isn't fair at times.

    Re: FFS, someone slap me.

While clearly only knowing you via the net may not make me in a good position to really know you but do you have some sort of network for the emotional side of your life?

Diet and exercise I think is only part of the whole wellbeing thing.

Well, life slapped me. You get what you ask for!

    Sort of..........

We had SO much fun last night at the footy, the picture I have attached is Amy Rose and her friends before we went in, SO excited!!!! They got taken to get changed halfway through the first quarter, and we did not see them till half way through the third! ((apart from on the field! I could only pick her out because she is so tall, has long hair and was flapping her arms around due to the fact her sleeves were too long!) The AFL does a great job of including the kids and encouraging them, they felt like little stars! Amy Rose was convinced all 46,417 people were watching them! LOL!

Had a horrible thing happen on the way home way home though. We had car pooled, and when we got back to the car, I noticed a man asleep in the car next to us. I mentioned it to the lady driving us, and she said she was sure he was there when they got there! That was 7 hours ago. I could not see any chest movement, and he had been there so long.......... I got her to move the car (the kids thought he was asleep) and I called 000. His window was down, and I called out to him, banged on the door etc. The phone operator said the next step was to get him out and start rescucitations, but we agreed that would be futile, he was cold, and it would simply scare the kids too much, and as they did not realise he was dead, this would not be a good thing. So, they still thnk he was sick and asleep, and that the ambos and firies came to "help" him. I felt SO sad for this man, he was from NSW (his rego plates), and it looked like he had felt sick, pulled in to rest, reclined the seat a little and simply passed away. Hanky in one hand, the other over his eyes. This was a crowded shopping centre carpark, and NOONE else thought to check on him??? Even the lady I was with was going to ignore him!!!! Breaks my heart, that we are all so wrapped up in ourselves. Whoever his family is, I hope they find peace. He looked peaceful, and I hope the police tell them that, small consolation though it may be. I can't get him out of my mind.... Poor bloke. He looked to be in his 60's?

    Love your family, guys!

    that's awful hon.

i definitely want YOU around in a crisis though, you were so collected and sensetive to the whole situation, kids and all.

sending you a big hug. you should be proud that you were able to offer some dignity to his passing.

    Jane, Mondee Mornin'!

Thanks Kaz! I am happy to be there for you! LOL!

     B: Protein cereal, skim milk
MT: small square choc slice, potato cake
L Pumpkin soup and a roll when I feel hungry
    AT: will assess later
    D: something with mince!

Ex: am aiming for half an hour on the ellpitical and some ab stuff while the kids do kidzfit

I have started to put into action some stuff I have gotten out of a book I am reading, and we shall see how that goes. Alot of it is very different to the "usual" diet stuff, which is interesting. I am basically eating when I am hungry, and really asking myself HOW hungry I feel, before and after I eat, and WHAT I feel like eating. I am trying to get back in tune with my body and it's needs. I think it is safe to say I am yet more proof that "diets" don't work in the long run! well, not for ME anyhow. It will be weird, even now it is! I normally eat lunch at 12, but I am not hungry, so will wait until I am! Even if that is not until 3pm!
