    Re: Back on the Horse...

oh yes indeedy THAT julian! i LURVE him!
on a developing note, i am still hobbling & tender, but i did go to gym today to tentatively test the waters, or in this case, the bike. i ended up doing 30 minutes on the bike, gently. after about 12 minutes, my foot was quite sore but i plugged on, stopping for 10 seconds a couple of times. my trainer gave me a hug which was nice. i'm going to go in a bit later tomorrow and try a light weights upper body. i've been so ICKY SICKY with the pain meds that i've stopped them except for some nurofen plus before bed.

painting workshop today, got my chair all set up and ready to go, so won't need to jump around and stand about too much. hopefully only a few more days of this damn foot pain, and i should be brand new. managed to get shoes on today, so that's a good thing!

    luv kaz x

    Re: Back on the Horse...

    trained with elise this morning.
did mostly boxing (sitting on the ball & standing) and pushups then stretching.

my back is soooo tight it's not funny, causing loads of ache, and because i've been babying my injured right foot, my left side has come under fire too.
so it's off to the chiro for me today. hopefully will bring some relief.

as for said right foot, it is definitely on the mend. i'm barely limping at all, and i *think* it feels a little less tight in the plantar fascia. i can still feel the cyst, but hopefully that will diminish soon too. so fingers crossed for me! i could be back to my daily walkings in a matter of a week or two. YAY!

    Re: Back on the Horse...

did 30 mins cardio & 1 hr training today.
i am sooooo happy! i did about 15 minutes on the treadmill (not too fast though, just easing back into it to test how my foot went - minor buzzy ache but nothing dramatic) and then in the training i easily managed a heap of lunges! YAY!!!!!!

so i feel on top of the world, cautiously optimistic that the procedure on my foot has worked, and am hot & stinky cos DANG it's over 37C today arghhh!!!
tonight once it cools down my gf & i are going for a small walk...

    cheers!
    xx

    Awesome to hear Kaz!

It's tough working through an injury but hopefully this is the light at the end of the tunnel!

    Re: Back on the Horse...

    my foot is SOOOO GOOOOOD!!!!!

yep i'm over the heat. anything over about 28C and i'm done.

i am feeling WONDERFUL today. went to the glen nice & early, and managed to find......*insert drum roll here*.........

A GLAMOUROUS DRESS!!! Yes you read it right here. I bought a DRESS! My gf is having "a touch of glamour" party for her 40th and i was resigned to wearing jeans & a nice top. i bit the bullet today, and found the most beaYOOSHiful dress in jackie e... never been able to buy stuff from there before.... it's black, v-neck plungy cut. under the boob bit is a funky chunky crystal thingy, and tiny pleats, and the way it drops and sits and looks marvellous... well... i look a million bucks! it's just below my knee. people at this party will think i've had an extreme makeover LOL... i also bought some strappy silver shoes with... wait.... A LITTLE HEEL!!! I haven't worn anything with a heel forEVER!

top it all off with the tiffany's bracelet i'm getting for my anniversary, the 70's hairstyle i'm getting done, the fake tan, pedicure & manicure (french of course) and the professional makeup, and i reckon people won't even RECOGNISE me for a few minutes!!! MWUHAHAHAHA

and the best bit! i'm not telling ANYONE from the party that i've found a dress... will let them continue to believe i'm wearing the jeans!!!

    hahaha!!!

had a massage & chiro today. awesome stuff! feel magnificent!

    luv

    xx

    Re: Back on the Horse...

    hiya...

been so flat out haven't really posted in here but here's this week's update!

monday - gym - cardio for an hour, and a 40 minute walk in the evening
tuesday - gym - cardio for an hour, then at ballet rehearsal for DD last night i ran up and down the stairs at least 10 times in the auditorium
today - gym - cardio about 10 minutes then trained just over an hour (high intensity of course)... planning on a walk for about 20-30 minutes tonight

    going well
have been doing loads of cardio & now my foot is brand new i've been out getting some extra walks in too! whoo hoo!

have been spectacular too in not over-indulging the drinkie-poos so i'm really pleased with that too. been cooking lots of healthy food - stirfries, salads and mexican, that kind of thing for dinner - loads of fresh vegies, legumes/beans & cottage cheese!

    done for the year :(

    well,

i have f*&%ked my back good & well - am finished all gym for the year, and pending my next physio appt tomorrow, probably any walking til the new year. i *suspect* that the 400 or so really bad terribly not good for you full extension situps with ball, on the ground at gym, are responsible for this. my trainer while he is very good, is also erm.... well i get the feeling he doesn't take my particular injuries seriously. *sigh* either that or it's a language thing. (he's originally polish...)

    anyway

i am currently hopped up on anti inflamms, painkillers, icing my back & on bedrest no lifting stretching bending walking about and my back is taped up.

    woo hoo

the physio said to me yesterday "hope you've done all ur xmas shopping, cos you aren't allowed to the shops to walk around. bed rest."

    i see him again tomorrow...

    arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
