Jo, you are going so well!! I love reading your journal too. I must come back later and re read it. I feel bad as I don't seem to get as much time to read everyone's these days, let alone my own! Lol

Anyone, be assured there are ppl reading so keep it up.

I want to know how to turn off the Mummy Radar too! Did you find the switch? or just get rid of the kids!?! LOL

Jen, Gow Gee sounds great. I've never seen it either. I must look for it.Those packaged pasta's/ Ravioli's are convenient but don't taste that great! Ick!

My computer has died after a huge lightning and thunder storm yesterday.  I'm at a friends place at the moment but I'm going to go through huge withdrawals until its fixed.  Anyway, if you dont hear from me for awhile you know why.

    Take care

    Monday 11th February

Well I'm so happy today.  Went to my TOWN weigh-in last night and dropped another 1.9kgs.  I also was announced as the winner of the Christmas challenge (most weight off between the last 07 meeting and first 08 meeting) so yeah me.  I received loads of buttons for December and January but I am most proud of my Most Consistant buttons for both months.  I reached my goal of 92kgs by yesterday which I was not at all sure I was going to achieve and am well on the way to my goal of 91.5kgs by the 18th which is my B'day goal.  If I lose weight next week I get a wiz bang birthday button.

Last week I started back playing Squash and played 4 games (first to 9 points) for grading.  I was pretty happy really because after 4 years I'm not totally crap Cheeky.  But boy am I sore in muscles I forgot about.  I actually strained my gluteous maximus and hamstring last night trying to get into my wedding dress which, needless to say is particularly heavy and slightly too big.  I wont be happy until its falling off my hips too not just gaping out infront of my dairy.

I've tried some really nice recipes and some that got poo poo'd by DH but I've really been enjoying cooking using things I've never tried before, like roasting beetroot, and fennel, loads of different herbs and spices and different types of fish.  I've been suprised to find that now when I'm being lazy or tired I can resort to BBQ and salad as the easy option now.  Funny I used to think that takeaway was the best lazy option because the basic recepies were my usual. Now i am trying different things, going back to the old boring repetative favorites make a simple change.  i didn't expect that.

Anyway, my food is still a mix of highs and lows but i will definately have somewhere to look when I plateux again.  I'm still consciously putting things in my mouth and eating slowly aoap.  all good.  off for breaky now

Lunch:                   Garden Salad & small bowl of chips with small pasta from Chicken Spot

    Snack:                   Diet Coke x 3

     Water:                   1.25 litres

Wow, 11th Feb that was a long time ago.  Thanks for keeping in touch Lolly, I have been checking in but didn't have anything to say.  Didn't want to totally bag myself out but didn't have anything good to say either.  Didn't want to kid myself that I was doing ok or that I was still eating to lose weight.  Anyway...

I want to get back into writing up my food habits.  And get back to walking.   Aint it the truth that after the first time you say ‘not today’ re exercise the easier it is the next time and the harder it is to start back up again.

Life’s been busy lately as for everyone.  But I know that I need to get back into a loose weight mind set even though I’ve been maintaining my weight over the past month or so.

I think I felt it was all too much when I started reading about the aspartame in the Diet Coke and tried to cut it out of my diet.  I must admit I felt much better without it, body pain significantly reduced but I just couldn’t sustain it.  I wish I knew which day it actually was that I started drinking it again.  I'll have a read back and see if I can tell.

I also started to give up when I was trying to weekly menu plan.  I really need to do it for my budget, my health, and also because I will be going back to work soon, but I find it very time consuming and difficult cause I think it is hard to put together a weeks worth of healthy food that the kids will eat that I can cook without a cook book.  But I guess I’ve got to keep at it.  In the new slimming & health mag there is a book which has a menu plan thingy in so I’ll try that.

I’m looking forward to going to TOWN and losing weight again.

    Re: Thursday 17th April

Jo, one day at a time! That is my mantra, one day at a time. The amount I have to lose is to great to keep focusing on the big picture! and I would rather die from the chemicals in my coffee and art. sweetened sodas! LOL! Hang in there, OK? Keep posting, no matter what is going on!

    Caution: Sarcastic and Cynical!!!

    Saturday

Soooooo tired.  So ridiculously tired.  Last night was the fourth night in a row of DS screeming his way through the nights just to fall asleep from exhaustion in my arms and then wake as soon as I try to put him down.  You all know the scenario I imagine.

    Just soooo tired.

    Re: Saturday

oh dear god, you poor love.

wish i could pop the kettle on for you & watch young ds so you can have a shower & sleep a few hours in order to feel human...

fortunately it does pass... is your ds sick? ear infection, that "hard to figure out if there's something really wrong" thing, could be behind it all. hurts like a b*stard for the little ones, but doesn't always have other symptoms besides screaming & maybe red ears...

hope things settle for you all

    xx

    Re: Saturday

Thanks for your good vibes.  Yes he has an ear infection and is taking medicine but also has a really runny nose and blocked sinus so he's pretty miffed he can't breast feed properly.  Hubby was home today and after bringing DD home from a party she and I went for the best sleep I think I've had for ages.  Man I love bed.

I finally think the medicine is finally kicking in so fevers are down which takes the worry out of it.  Now if he can only get back to nose breathing all will be well again. Yeah!!!!!!!

Have a great and healthy week everyone. :-)

    Tuesday 29th April

Well here I am again.  One day at a time..........SWEET JESUS!!!!!!

I had an interesting morning having baracaded the kids with me into the loungeroom I promptly fell asleep.  Yeah.  I reckon the best sleep is when you're in front of the tele and shattered.  You go out like a bear in the winter.  They were both really good and I woke up to a bit of a mess but no disasters.

Went to TOWN club again last night after a couple of weeks of me and DH sick then as I said the kids sick, but I am thrilled to report there has been downward movement (and not just the sagging).  A loss of 1.2kgs

    This week I will

    1) Drink at least 8 glasses/2 litres of water a day,

    2) Exercise at least 30 mins, 3 days per week/ 1 1/2 hours for the week

    3) Remember that Short Term Pleasures prevent me from getting the benefits of Weight Loss, and minimise the number/size of chocolate and caramel treats

    Wednesday 7th May

Up down up down I'm a yoyo in disguise.  Yes another increase this week at TOWN so I'm obviously having a bit of a thing with this weight level.   I played squash this morning and for the first time in 4 years I actually won the match.  I wish I could just say yeah... but in my head I keep saying about bloody time.  It was a fantastic workout too so I'm really happy with that.  Not only that but I went to the shops after and only bought healthy food.  No choc caramel slice... even though the whole time I was there that was in my head.  I haven't been drinking as much water as I'd hoped but have definately increased so that's good too.

Have a great week everyone :-)
