Re: put weight on this week

just back from the gym and although my muscles were a little tired I did suprisingly well.  I even beat my PB on the x-trainer with the new method of training!  4.94km!  Now just to hit that 5km barrier! :D

Still very sore and if I'm still pretty sore tomorrow, I may not do my hour of cardio and just do some incidental exercise (walking to the footy - go Dogs!).  I have hockey on Sunday..My first game for this season and really don't want to overdo it, if I'm playing Sunday anyway!

You are one busy chicken - you never seem to stop!  I bet your glad you sorted out your polar - at least now you can put your mind at ease.  They sound like a great contraption, I might have to save my pennies for one of those!

I would have a bit of a break tomorrow if you have a hockey game Sunday, you want to be refreshed for your game.  Maybe just a walk or something light.  And besides, I think that your body has done its fair share of work this week and might need a breather before a strenuous hockey game!

Re: put weight on this week

Thanks Marissa, I'm feeling pretty tired today.  So I'm not gonna run...although I have had a huge drop in kilos this week and now really want to!  Ah, the dilemma!

My weight loss this week is a whopping 3.8kgs!!!  Wow!  So not only did i drop what I put on last week (which is obviously from the fact that it was around that time!) but I dropped much, much more.  I'm near my next goal of being under 100kgs and I sure will be very excited then!

My body fat also came down 2.2%.  Which is great because that is something I really need to work on to get down and my water has increased!

Thanks to everyone for all their support this week.  I really had a down week and was extremely scared that I would give up and go back to my old ways, because I lost the reason for why I started - I  haven't really but felt like it.  You guys really got me through this week and kept me going - seriously!

Re: put weight on this week

    Great effort Mel!!!!!

You faced a tough week and pushed through it ......... way to goBig Smile [:D]! Don't be afraid to listen to your body, if you really need a rest day then take it - it will give you the energy to face next week, and the week after, and the week after that.  You are in this for the long haul and taking it easy every now and then keep you refreshed.

But maybe take kaz's advice and go for a walk instead Wink [;)]

    Harri

ps.  have you thought of wearing your monitor to hockey training once or twice to give you an idea how much you burn.  I wore mine doing the vacuuming the other day just to see if housework was really as good for you as everyone says it is - they lie

Re: put weight on this week

Hey there! What an amazing achievement you have done so well to have lost this weight this week!! Sometimes it all can get a bit too much but keeping yourself going and not falling off the track has really showed you the results which are fantastic!!!

With my back and siaticca and my feet problems some days its hard to get out of bed so when your feeling sore dont over do it im a ten year work in progress with my back issues and it doesnt get any easier so take it easy when your body cries out for help!!!

Looking forward to you going under the magical 100 and think of what you have achieved in doing so!!!

Re: put weight on this week

Thanks guys, you can't believe how excited I am to be getting so close to my next goal!  All of you have really helped in keeping me motivated and on track to my new me - so thanks heaps, I really appreciate it!  And you guys, should feel proud in the fact that you are great motivators! :D

Harri,  did the heart rate monitor when we were doing more runs but now that I'm in the goals, I'm too scared I'll wreck the thing!  I might have to try and find a convenience place to put it though, so I know how much I'm burning at hockey!

I'm also excited today as I spoilt myself and got myself a new car for doing so well!  Yes, something very big!  But I think I deserve it!

Re: put weight on this week

    thanks guys!

Last night I did my weights and cardio but mum came along so I got her to do the same thing with less weights and sets in between mine.  At the end I did 202 situps on this machine...I was impressed!

Today went for a walk with my mum to help loosen her muscles and tonight I have hockey and I'll be doing a little more running to make up for not going to gym today!  All is well and I'm really looking forward to getting my car this weekend or Monday! :D

Re: put weight on this week

What a great reward ........ you'd better start saving, I can't imagine what you'll get when you reach your goal.  lol

.... oh I forgot how much damage a hockey ball can do - of course you wouldn't wear your HRM when balls are getting pelted at you - maybe you could stick it down your daks ..... under a padded bit of course.

Re: put weight on this week

hehe I know...my finishing reward is a huge holiday - six months!  So I do need to start saving for that!

yeah it's a bit of a problem, the old hockey balls and I'm a bit crazy with diving so it could be a really bad thing!

I'm really happy today, I've found my way again and I pushed it heaps at the gym doing my weights session and cardio.  I'm totally exhausted but I think I will still fit in some sit ups tonight.

The fantastic thing about today is everyone is really noticing the weight loss.  I'm having people from everywhere who I hardly know come up to me and tell me that I look fantastic.  It really spurs me on more.

The other funny thing is that I am SUCH a loudmouth now, I just don't shut up, so much so that I've losing my voice!  My confidence has gone through the roof and I'm now the one to go up to others to make a conversation than have people come up to me.  And, more people are coming up to me, I must also be attracting people more in that way as well.

Last night at hockey, we didn't really do much..however we had one of the guys, who's been helping me out come and talk to us about goals.  So, I think what I'm going to do is write my goals down here and on my website, for everyone to see (as well as me).  There are going to be long term but also short term, because the short term is where I'm falling down on.  Now, I do have goals, but I really haven't really written them down apart from the amount of kilos I want to lose.  So expect this up here shortly!

Re: put weight on this week

I think a list of goals is a fantastic idea - it helps to give you direction and something to aim for and helps to motivate you (although in saying that, you are already incredibly driven - I don't think motivation is a problem for you!).  I am looking forward to reading them!

You have certainly inspired me with your gym program.  I am actually looking forward to joining up and getting stuck into it!

I love that you are more confident and you would be radiating the positivity, energy and confidence that you have in yourself which does draw other people towards you.  I think when we start out on this weightloss journey we don't quite realise how many other parts of our life will be affected to.  I'm so pleased to hear that you are a loudmouth!
