Re: put weight on this week

ah my favourite place in the world is Italy then Spain!  I've been there twice and I can tell you some great places to go...I'm obsessed and it will certainly be on my next trip!

Did boxing yesterday and pushed it again, so much so that I had a lack of energy for hockey last night (still pushed myself with the running) and gym today.

I'm certainly feeling very tired now...but that also has to do with the fact that I've had less than 3 hours sleep - watching the BL last night after training was a good idea to a certain degree but hell getting up this morning to get to the gym!

Tomorrow I may skip my run again and just do something easy, if anything.  Just depends how tired I am and how long it takes to organise the pick up of my brand spanking new car!

PS. can't wait to hear about your adventures at the gym Marissa!  I'm glad you're joining up! :D

Here are my goals for starters.  I think I'll improve on them later on:

    Long term goals:

    • Drop to a healthy weight which at this stage is 65 kilos based on my BMI. This may not be the right weight, depending how much muscle I build with the weights.
    • Body fat of 20%
    • Lose this by December (if possible)
    • Keep this off! This is a lifestyle change!

    Short term goals:

    • 1 kg loss a week
    • drink 2-3 litres of water a day
    • 1200 calories a day
    • maintain 2 carbs a day
    • maintain 5kms run each time
    • complete a 5km fun run
    • increase to running to 10km
    • drop 13kgs

Re: put weight on this week

Great list of goals!  I love the last long term goal to keep it off - I have often wondered how I would focus on eating and exercise about if I didn't have to try to lost weight anymore. How short-term is short term, 2 months?  Also, what do you mean by 2 carbs a day - is this 2 foods?

I bet you will feel like a million dollars driving around in a new car - and so you should!

Re: put weight on this week

    Thanks Marissa,

Yep the carbs is trying to keep my carbohydrate (high) foods to two a day.  It's pretty difficult though!

The short term goals are continual ones as well as 13 kgs in say about 13 weeks.  I think it's possible, although not with my weight loss this week! :D

Lost only 0.1kg this week and my body fat and water stayed exactly the same as last week.  Can't be too disappointed as I got my new car today and I love it!

Re: put weight on this week

thanks angel for stopping in.  I know I'm gonna probably not do so well this week, my eating has increased and I just feel like I need to.  So I'm not really being strict or I'll probably go beserk!

Today, didn't feel up to the gym but I got a personal best on the x-trainer - 5Km on the new workout that Ray gave me!  I was pretty impressed.  Did my weights as well, but turned out to be a little tender.

My game yesterday went well, we won 5-1.  I couldn't do much about the goal and had saved quite a few anyway.

Re: put weight on this week

Its great that you can tell that you need to give your body more food - you are listening to your body and acting in accordance and that is such a great thing.  Moderation - that word just never goes away!

Maybe your loss was only small this week because you lost so much last week.  But a loss is still a loss, which is always better then a gain!

Great hockey result!  My brothers girlfriend plays hockey and it looks like it requires far too much co-ordination for me!  You must be really superfit with all the training you are doing - good on you

Re: put weight on this week

been a little quiet on here.  I did exercise Tuesday but took a day off yesterday.  I've done something to my shoulder doing weights and needed to rest.

So I've feeling rather guilty today and think I may do a half hour of boxing and half hour of weights.  That way I can still do my fun thing as well as get 3 lots of weights in this week...and do hockey tonight!  I did do a PB on Tuesday but flaked it at hockey that night.

Oh, and took a sneak peek on the scales....I've put on weights, so I have a really big effort the next couple of days to try and burn it off and lose weight - don't think it's possible because my eating is wayyyy up!  I'll wait and see though.

    today's workout

Really exhausted today.  I did 9 laps of the hockey field last night running and 14 sprints, in addition to our training.  My calories were just over 1200 calories yesterday and on track today for less!  Tomorrow, however I'm sure I'll be over - have a dinner party to go to!

Today, I did the following cardio:

    Rower 5 mins 989m (Warmup)
    100 situps
    20 side situps (each side)
    X-trainer 30 minutes 4.83km
    Bike 5 mins 1.84km

Calories supposedly burnt 421 calories only!

    Re: today's workout

side sit up is where you basically turn on your side and do a sit up focusing on those side muscles of your abs...they kill!  But you end up working all of your abs!

I feel tired just reading your workouts!  I'm not surprised you feel exhausted today after your big hocky session.  And still while being tired you managed to do all that cardio - you continue to be inspiring!
