    Re: well I'm exhausted!

Hey there i can understand why your exhausted your program makes my head spin..your doing a great job and im sure your seeing heaps of the goals that you have set being achieved..reading your journal gives me hope and inspiration that one day i might be able to do some of the things that you have done or are doing!

AS for the sciatica its very painful i find it morseo when the weather changes i used to put voltaren cream on my hips when i was working and it did help a little but my issues there are now being helped by morphine twice daily wouldnt be recommending that unless you have serious issues but im sure a hot pack works wonders as well...just be careful and dont overdo it that pain hurts and once it put me in hospital for eight weeks when it was at its worst...i couldnt stand or sit only lie down and when i moved my butt cheek and down my right leg to my ankle hurt like crazy!

I hope you had a great night out and enjoy your weekend your a champion!

    Take care

    under 100kg!

thanks jude, I've been keeping the electric blanket on just to keep my leg/bum warm...it seems to be helping but the riding on a bike tends to inflame it, I've noticed.  Need some padded shorts! :D

Today is the day.  I've been waiting a very long time for it, with times where I thought it wasn't possible.  But I feel I can achieve anything now.  I'm under 100kgs, 98.9kg to be exact now!  You can not wipe the grin off my face!

I lost 2.2 kgs this week, that 1200 calorie limit appears to be working!  I will have to stick with it!  My body fat percentage has also gone down 1.5%.  Yippee!!   Oh and time to set a new goal.  I've reached my 30kg mark.

So now some short term ones to be:
    • 90kgs
    • 8.9 kgs in 7 weeks. (a S.M.A.R.T. goal)
    • body fat to 35%

Today, I'm having a break from the gym and just doing hockey...I might do some more laps at hockey though.  My sciatica is still aching....ARGH!  But can't help but feel it's all worth it! :D

Have a good weekend everyone, I hope you are all doing fantastic!

I feel for you when i read about your sciatica as i know first hand how painful it is but your not letting it beat you which is great and that electric blanket will sure make a huge difference, for me heat was definately the key factor in helping me feel better..I really hope you keep improving!!!

Keep up the great work and im sure the next set of goals that you have set yourself will be here in no time!!!!

    Good JOB!!!

    Re: workout today

mel you are doing so fatnastic, wish i had half your determination.

and what on earth are sumo squats, im kinda imagining sort of doing the sumo wrestler thing, legs bent hands on thighs,  one leg up then down, then the other up then down.

    hugs faline

    Re: workout today

yesterday was a really crappy day for me.  I didn't end up getting to the gym because of meetings at work.  I ended up running a little more at training but then we only played a game, so I most likely didn't get much of a workout!  And, to top it off, my sciatica was aggravated last night...

Today, worked very hard to cater for yesterday:

    Warm up:
    • None
    Weights:
    • Sumo Squat 20 x 3
    • Bench Press DB 20 x 3 10 kgs
    • Pull Down 20 x 3 52.5 (2) - 50 (1) kgs
    • Shoulder Press 15 x 3 17.5 kgs
    • Chin Up 15 x 3 43.9 kgs (my weight subtracted by the weights I put on)
    • Tricep Dips 15 x 3 my body weight
    • Back 20 x 3 37.5 kgs
    • Stationary Lunges 10 x 3 each leg
    • Situps 80 front, 20 each side
    Cardio:
    • X-trainer 30 minutes, 5.34 kms, 5093 strides
    Stretching
    • 15 minutes

    Calories
    • 620 calories, 35% fat
I have a hockey match tomorrow in Bendigo, which may be a little hard...and I may go to the gym and do half an hour at least.  It just depends on my weigh in tomorrow...I bet ya I've put weight on!

    Re: weigh in - 20/05/06

Have you taken measurements? With the amount of excersizing you do, you're bound to develop more muscle tissue and even if you lose fat, muscles weigh more then fat, relativaly speaking. I bet cha, you'll have lost centimeters instead of weight!

    Re: weigh in - 20/05/06

    Hi Missmel,

Don't get disheartened with "just 0.1". Scales sometimes lie about what's really going on. Keep it up - you're doing great with all the exercise you are doing.
