    awww thanks mate.  I'm hoping this gets me back into it....I even went for my run even though i'm fatigued....feeling very, very flat now.  but I'll go get a massage tomorrow as a gift for my efforts!

    Glad to see you back into it. I had a nice vego entree the other night in Florence. It was these big field mushrooms.Hmmmmmmmm!

    Bad food on the weekend, really bad...on top of it today:

    Brekky: oats with stewed pears, cranberries and almonds

    Lunch: vegan chestnut soup (recipe on site), bread roll toasted

    Dinner: pasta?

    Snack: banana, mandarin

    Drinks: homemade coffee and tea, water

    Exercise: 7.5km run around the yarra....PB but tired.

    What pasta did you make in the end? I fluked a delish sauce the other night! I KNOW you don't eat meat, but mine had sliced up beef and agrlic sausages in it, but it was basically a tomato based sauce with diced onion, a diced red and green capsicum and a heap of grated pumpkin in it! It was great!!!

    sounds good. had pasta with vegie bacon, chickpeas, 1/2 red onion, gourmet mushrooms, dash lemon, 2 tsp minced garlic, S& P and drizzle of truffle oil...delish!

     

    brekky: oats with stewed pears, cranberries and almonds

    lunch: corn soup with vegie bacon (recipe on site), bread roll

    dinner: seasoned tempeh and roasted oregano wedges (recipe on site).

    snacks: yoghurt

    drinks: homemade coffee, water, diet v.

    exercise: weights, boxing, hockey training
     

    coming down with my 4th bout of a cold and a sore throat...not happy jan!

    Howdy all,

     A little tight in the back today and have the cold for the fourth time (GRR) but still going running today.  I contemplated having a real coffee today but have decided against it!

    Brekky: oats with half banana, walnuts and honey

    Lunch: corn and vegie bacon soup (recipe on site)

    Dinner: pasta?

    Snack: yoghurt, possibly a mandarin also

    Drinks: homemade coffee, tea and water

    Exercise: 7.5 km around the yarra

    Good on you for getting back into the swing of things Mel.Your doing such a great job and I can't believe your exercising when you have a cold and even more to the point that this is your 4th cold, sacreligious!  Take care

    Thanks mate, I bumped into an old work mate and ran with her after doing half my run.  I ended up running 8.13 km!

    geez go Mel! I hope your cold is easing off a bit.. get some vitamin c into you! and if that doesnt work have one of those disgustingly awful Lemsips *shudder* i think it scared my cold away lmao!

    Thanks LW, I had a extra strength polarmine and knocked myself out last night.  I have no runny nose but a cough this morning...which is worse? :D

     

    Due to last night's efforts, I had fish and chips for tea....and dessert.


    Brekky: oats with banana and walnuts with honey

    Lunch: biryani (from up the road)

    Dinner: cheeseburger soup (recipe to appear shortly on website)

    Snack: mandarin? unsure

    Drinks: skinny latte, homemade coffee and tea, water, water, water

    Exercise: weights, boxing (if i can hit the darn heavy bag today after hurting my knuckle tuesday night), hockey training

    Hmmm, chesseburger soup sounds strange Mel, perhaps its the title. 

    BTW; what is biryani and have you come up with a healthier version of banana bread?
