well I'll be sure to do a run with you next year...because you certainly will be up for a jog by then...

and it's great to hear you aren't really sore...you'll need to go harder on the next one...jogging definitely by then!

    Re: Lollylorna's journal

    Hi!  Thanks ladies!

I've got a lot to learn about running but I think there's so much improvement to be had that it'll be a rewarding experience.  In the 1st race, our one km splits were 10min 11 sec, and this time it was 9min 30 secs - so I'd like to see the next race in 8 to 9 min splits.

No pressure Mel, you know you're welcome to come test yourself with us.

I think less about what weight I am now.  And I'm more accepting that you don't have to be thin and neatly fit to be able to jog.  Plumpies like me can do it.  I got that watching the Biggest Loser shows - they were jogging and not falling down dead.  Thinking I'm too fat, too much impact on my joints etc, but not really.  I'm really slow and soft, and I'm not carrying any injuries (mild back prob) so there's no reason why I can't be successful at this, over time.

    Re: Lollylorna's journal

GrrrH!  Irritable today, I am!  5yo accidentally knocked me in the head this morning and my glasses broke - I think it was metal fatigue the frames are old.  So in contacts now.

Farted about and got the kids, pram, two teddies, drinks, sunscreen, blanket, toy golf clubs and whatever down to the cricket oval so I can do my planned 20 min jog workout, and baby screams through 19mins of it!!!  Like he was being murdered!!  I'm a mean slefish mum too, I only shifted him twice and kept going till my time was up.  Mate, that was frustrating!  I'd rather run at night than do that again!  5yo thought it was cool, he joined in running about in circles, throwing grass and diving into the ground, because his golf club head broke off after about one minute there.

I've had cup of tea and some quiet time so have regained my sense of humour, sorta.

Kids - does anyone need a contraceptive - they can borrow my kids - put ya right off sex for awhile!!!  Highly recommended for teenagers!

Lol what a day - try again tomorrow.

And shattering their illusions is Mum cranking away on the tready!

Gee it must be hell sometimes, but I bet you get big laugh value out of them!

    Re: Lollylorna's journal

    HeheHe

Squishy baby is less squishy now that his nose and head cold has cleared up completely.  He's great, so is the 5yo cookie monster.

Five and half weeks till W-day (workday).  I'll be getting up at six and going walk/jog, rather than vegging out with baby and bottle watching the news.  Dh will be in charge of dinner, but I'll have some influence, plus I'll be writing out the shopping list, no doubt.

It'll be a bit weird initially but once we get the routine established I think I should be able to keep my exercise and weight goals motoring along.

Kinder BBQ tomorrow at Bunnings to raise money.  Maybe one sausage in bread!

    Re: Lollylorna's journal

Survived the kinder BBQ with just the one sausage in bread.  Didn't fare so well with some iced donuts, but it's water under the bridge now.

Took the pram, 5yo, and dog to do some leaflet drops for about 40 mins or so this afternoon.  Not really training exercise, but activity nonetheless.

Tonight and tomorrow, I'm doing our business' accounting and computer stuff, and frankly, I'd rather be in a dentists chair with a high-pitched drill in my mouth, than doing this tax and accounting stuff.  Gee, that's great considering it's what I do for living usually!  It's different though.

~ Lorna drags herself off to make coffee number 5 and procrastinate a bit longer ~ Huh?

    Re: Lollylorna's journal

Hiya Lorna . Good work on the leaflet drop! Exercise is exercise! :)

Great resolve on the sausage sizzle. I'm sure I would have eaten more than one...with lots onions!(licks lips*,LOL) Actually,my local growers market does one every Sat morning and I went there today..but walked really fast past the BBQ...God,it was hard!

Teenage boys..yes A laugh a minute!! (sorry, don't want to shatter you image for the future!!) PMSL) Not to mention the Sunday mornings we wake to 6 more on the lounge floor! LOL

Yes Miss Universe is hell in this house, coupled with a big screen TV and Dh as well.Confused

Don't envy the paperwork..have yet to get all out taxation stuff ready for the accountant. Pretty much have to get the whole years worth of receipts and bank statements sorted! (Procrastination is what I do best!)

Out of the 90's at last!

Yesterday, after I finished the company stuff, took the 5yo to the oval and kicked a footy, then did my 15 min of laps, then keepings off with the boy.  All up about 55 mins.
