Re: Saturday, ENOUGH of the heat!!!

Hey, Jane just dropped in to say HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!! We missed all the hot weather, 'coz we were in Sydney for a week, where it rained and struggled to get to 24deg!!!!! We just caught the tail end of it bwhen we got back (which suits me - I hate the heat!!!) Does your baby go to school this year or next year? I', a free woman in 3 and a bit weeks - my baby is off to school this year - yay! Even better - all 4 in the SAME place for 2 years - yay!!!!! Would love to catch up with you and Lorna and kaz for a walk & coffee sometime when school goes back!     Take care, Alison

    I am back!

Had a great time away, but it was HARD work being the only parent for a week!!!

We ate reasonably well, and went to the beach each day, did a few walks, but honestly, the exercise was hard! Trying to keep track of all 3 kids (the 4 yo is not at all good at swimming) while running in the water or doing laps in the sand was SO hard. I have to confess, too, that once I noticed a group of teens watching me, I kind of felt intimidated! They must have thought I was a crazy lady, I was doing "laps" in the sand, walk then jog, walk then jog! LOL! The bad food was really only 2 meals of fish and chips (FRESH FISH!!!) and 2 ice crams, so I think I did well! Not enough water, but it was foul there and what we bought from home was plasticky!

Shall write up a shopping list/meal plan later, and will do a BIG shop tomorrow, the fruit/veg (even in the fridge) tastes like varnish! But the floorboards look good!

So, back into it in full today, although minus fresh produce!

    Re: I am back!

    Hi Jane,

Those teenagers may have even thought: Good on her, she's having a go!

With the fish and chips, you can drop the calorie content quite a bit by asking for it to be grilled not deep fried.

    Keep it up!

    The cupboards are full......

The house is clean and the meal plan is done! It feels good to be back in control.

This week has a host of challenges, lots of socialising, not much time ot exercise etc. I will feel really proud of myself if I get through it unscathed....... Tomorrow is OK, nothing on, but the following 4 days we have "things" on for lunch each day. I CAN make wise choices, though!

Ray, thanks for your input, but I feel sure that the teens were SO not thinking Good on her! LOL! Oh, and with the fish, I compromised and had a half peice........ I know, not as good as it COULD have been, but I had steamed dim sims!!!!

I hope to get out soon for a walk, if I can fit it in with DH and the kids.......

    Magnificent Monday!

I am weird, I LOVE Mondays! The kids tend to keep to themselves, it is like they want to just chill after the weekend!! So I get HEAPS of stuff done! I managed to catch up on alot of paperwork, some washing, ironing and cleaning. Took the car thru a carwash, had lunch, bought burger rolls (DS wants to help cook dinner one night and he chose home made burgers) and now have some online time!

Food has been good, managed to include a curry pie while we were out and STILL come in under 1400 cals!

B: Balanced right cereal with skim milk

    L: Curry pie, anzac bikkie

D: 1 sausage with mushrrom sauce, mashed potatoes and veggies

    S: 2 morning coffee bikkies, 2 nectarines, 1 apple

My AIM is to do half an hour on the tready, in 2 15 minute blocks with my new TBL2 workout DVD in the middle! I hope the kids continue to play happily!!!

Edited to say I did 15 minutes walk/jog on the treadmill, then 30 minutes of the DVD, and there was NO WAY I could do that last 15 minutes on the treadmill!!!!! SWEATING!!!!

    Tempestuous Tuesday!

A tad warm, 39 outside last time I checked! Have had a very busy day so far, including a visit to the Chiro this morning, means I can;t do anything strenuos for 48 hrs, which is no stress in this heat! I walked there and back, 25 minutes in the heat, and OH MY! sweating!!! My thighs are very sore today after that DVD yesterday, must have worked hard!

    B: Cereal, skim milk

L: Pasta with Tandoori Beef (left 3/4's of the sauce) entree size

    D: Homemade burgers with Salad

S: Grapes, Anzac Biscuit, 4 apricots, frosty Fruit

I will try and do another 15 minutes on the treadmill later.

    Re: Tempestuous Tuesday!

Ray, that would be excellent. I recently got the 2 pack (Walk/Jog and Walk/Kick) and they are great. Well, the walk/jog one is, I have not tried the other yet, had planned to today, but Um, 41 outside? NO WAY JOSE!!!! LOL! If you could sell the TBL ones, too, that would be good.

I may well be a DVD junkie.......... But honestly, it has removed my excuses! I have so many exercise options open to me now, between DVD's, the footpath, the tready and the gym, I can't say "I can't"!!!!!!

    It is a bit embarressing.......

To keep "starting again". Isn't it? 98kg on the dot this morning. No more. NO MORE. Today is all about "regrouping" for me. What a wasted few years. I am looking forward to success.

Just sent a little challenge to a group of friends I email who are also trying to lose wieght. Here is MY response.

    1. What is your weight loss goal for the end of February?
I am currently sitting on 98kg. OUCH. By the end of February I will be 92kg or LESS.

    2. What kind of food plan are you going to follow?
I will be eating 1200 calories a day or less, 6 days a week. On one day a week I will be eating 1500 or less. I will be planning my meals, all three each day, plus snacks, the day before each day. Sunday is my "inflated" day as we will be having our ONE take away meal for the week that night.

    3. What exercise are you going to do?
I will be doing between 30 minutes and an hour minimum, 6 days a week. I will PLAN this each Sunday, for the upcoming week. Sunday will be my day off.

So, sorry guys, but I will be back again, boring you all silly with my waffle, and amazing you as I acheive this.

I have this DVD too- love it!!  Wish I could find some other WATP DVDs in my area.  Saw some videos online but this wouldn't help much since I don't own a VCR anymore.  Have had a hard time parting with the fan in the last few days so a DVD is a good option to getting outside for a walk.
