    Anyone heard of rykas?

Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of Ryka? It's a jogger. (I think I got ripped off!! LOL.) I only got them not more than 6 months ago and already I need new shoes. This possibly could be due to the fact I am having a hard time with my feet! The guy from atheletes foot sold them to me and this is only becuase the 1st pair they sold me broke after the first time I wore them, he wasn't happy when I took them back. So I think I got sold a dud!!

    Re: Anyone heard of rykas?

As someone who’s feet are so bad that I get a disabled parking permit I find that 6 months from a pair of shoes is about typical.

I find the cushioning in them deteriorates and I start to get all sorts of joint pain.

My 6 year old son destroyed some running shoes in about 3 weeks.

Cross trainers may be more robust.

New Balance is the only shoe that fits my feet.

    Hey there,

My trainer says that Brooks are great and last long.  I think even Ray recommends them.  I have the same problem but with Nike joggers, never again!

I've had Rykas before and they weren't a great fit for my feet, but lasted for ages (took them travelling overseas and they withstood a whole lot of punishment!!!). My friend loves them, she was fitted for them at Athlete's Foot and was a bit dubious at first, but is now onto about her third pair. I think hers last 6-9 months, but then she uses them most days (lots of running).

I've got Asics Gel Nimbus at the moment and am coming up to 6 months of use and am starting to notice them being less comfy than they were. For me I figure if I'm pounding the treadmill or the pavement for an average of an hour a day with my weight hitting them, they're going to wear out!

    Hiya...

It's a jogger made only for women. Ryka is the name of the brand.
