    Personal Trainer Advice

    Ray,

    I have decided to get a personal Trainer.  How do I find a good Personal Trainer in my area.   I want someone who is committed to work with someone who is morbidly obese and really take the time to teach and motivate me so I can achieve my long term goals.

    Re: Personal Trainer Advice

    what area are you in?

    oh first i would like to congratulate you on wanting to make the change, i think that is one of the most significant steps you can make in any weight loss journey, the next most significant step is to never give up, no matter how long it may take it will take longer if you give up, no matter how slow the weight loss becomes, it will get slower if you give up.

    with that said i think you should easily find some trainers through your local pages, or you could check out the local gyms as alot of trainers are based there but dont necessarily need to train from there if you didnt want to go to the gym.

    you shouldnt be afraid to ask any of the trainers you meet anything; they should be happy to meet with you, get a feel for them and then see how you go from there, i personaly would ask them about working with overweight people;

    the other thing you could do besides the net is see if there are any clinics for overweight people and ask them there who they would recommend.

    congrats again on wanting to make a difference to yourself.

    you should be proud of that.

    Hi Allie,

    Sorry I missed this one. Check http://www.fitness.org.au and there you will see a list of trainers in your area. As Adro has mentioned, contact a few and meet up with them and see which impresses you the most
