    Re: Fifteen years.

Would I ruin it all by suggesting that at $2 to $3 each in Adelaide for mangos we will not have to get very many mangos before the tree earns its keep?

Also the mangos in the shop taste like they have somehow managed to transfer the cardboard taste gene that the commercial tomato growers had inserted into tomatoes

    They are attractive trees anyway.

My wife’s grandmother planted a mango tree from a seed when she was a child and she has missed fresh mangos since she died.

If there will be a second meaning to the mango tree for my wife only she would know.

    Oh the pain

Got my eating wrong last night.

    Suffered until about 3 am.

Some lesions you just have to learn for yourself.

I suppose if it happens again I may be considered a slow learner.

I must read and follow the instructions I was given.

Yes, and some lessons, too...... I hope you don't have any lesions, and YES, you must make sure you follow the instructions!!!

    Ouch! Alison

Do you want me to suggest that dyslexia is a pest at times?

Equally it can give an alternate view on things as well.

If I didn’t copy & paste everything from word a lot of my posts would be incomprehensible.

I had about 2 hours sleep last night and I missed the substituted word.

    Re: Oh the pain

Silly me I didn’t realise you could partly comprehend something.

Sadly it is true that many people don’t appreciate the alternative view.

Don’t we live in a quantum world?

    Re: Oh the pain

My GP, who has had a gastric bypass, told me that Buscopan is a good thing to carry around.  Though I would imagine that it is not always going to be helpful.

    coops:

SO what did you eat and what happened at 3am?

I had Chinese take away steak with black bean sauce I think.

It certainly didn’t agree with me.

I didn’t vomit but it was about 3 am before the pain subsided enough that I got some meaningful sleep (had tea about 7 pm).

Lots of burping, farting and dry reaching generally quite a disturbed night.

The pain was a lot worse than typical indigestion but not as bad as appendicitis.

There was broccoli in it and broccoli is something you are specifically warned to avoid.

    Re: Oh the pain

So the problem was that you failed to "chew-chew-chew until it's goo"?

I hadn't heard the broccoli thing - we're told to make sure we have vegies of each colour every day.

Re the chinese, don't they usually undercook their vegies anyway? I can't imagine being courageous enough to try take-away chinese vegies! But then again, I'm still scared of drinking tea!!!

    Re: Oh the pain

Until the last fill I have been able to eat everything even raw vegies & white bread.

    It seems this is changing.

It seems there are several variations on gastric banding depending on who does it.

    113.6 again

Has been interesting week with the second fill

Had an active day yesterday digging out stumps of trees

I had to remove a golden rain tree and a peach tree to plant the mango tree.

Dose 3 hours of swinging a mattock pass for a work out?

Strangely I am not stiff this morning.

Perhaps the fitness classes are having some effect.

I suppose with my wedding anniversary my food could have been better on a few days.
