Re: Convo with Coops stuff I want to remember

Yeah... It sounds really logical.  They might say a bit more about timeframes on that site I've added the link too.  Or they might have contact info that we could email and ask.  On the other hand, I dont imagine its a short timeframe so maybe I dont want to know.  Check out the quit smoking link that Ray has on here somewhere.  The body takes ages to give up things its addicted to and I know mine is addicted to sugar (also via carbs).

Lunch:       Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber, Carrot, Extra Light Philli, & tuna sandwich

More sleeping today, if only I could get Caitlyn to sleep too it would be even more.  Did some housework to make me feel like I’d done something but I feel like all my energy is gone anyway.  Ethan is sleeping heaps too so maybe he has something too.  I’ll have to get into some exercise soon.

The Christmas party this Friday has been cancelled because the guy who planned it for at his house didn’t tell his wife and she said ‘nahhhh, I’ve got other plans’ hehehe.  Typical blokes organising.  Sorry you guys on the boards.  So only have the Church concert on Sunday, plenty of opportunity to eat right anyway. Cinema was a nice change of scenery tonight.  I’m so glad to get away from the house without the kids.  Movie ‘1408’, a horror, was pretty ordinary and I wouldn’t recommend it.   Lots of things jumping out from behind him moments and loud noises but that was about it.

    Re: Friday 14th December

Sure, but just remember I'm not into losing in a hurry as much as trying to do it small steps at a time.  Also, I have been listening to your comments about grains and dairy but I dont really know what I'd cook if I excluded them.  I think part of the problem is I'm not a strong cook anyway so am learning there too.

I would like a lecture on Diet Coke and its evils thoughWink

    Re: Saturday 15th December

    Hi Jo,

Try to stay active throughout the Christmas period as it's hard to get started again when it's over. It doesn't have to be much, just something each day.

    Monday 17th December

Oh,  Sunday... what happened to Sunday????   Caitlyns music concert.  I thought I'd posted yesterday but obviously havent oh well.  Thanks Ray, I definately want to get back to it this week

    Food:

Breakfast:  2 serves porridge with skim milk and sultanas

    Snack:       Nothing

Lunch:       BBQ Lunch at Playgroup Christmas party

½ plate garden salad, spoon of couscous salad, sp. coleslaw, sp. Potato bake, 1 beef pattie

                       Small piece of Pavlova

Snack:       Antipasto platter – toast pieces with ham, cheese, pickled veggies, Bowl of fruit salad

Dinner:       2 white rolls with slices of ham and marg

    Snack:       Bowl of fruit salad

    Drinks:     Water – 1 x 600ml

                     Diet Coke - lots

The kids playgroup Christmas party was brilliant.  The most realistic santa I’ve ever seen.  Caitlyn dressed up in this little Santa’s helper dress with these little high healed plastic shoes.  Gorgeous.  And sooooo funny to see clopping around the place.  She actually wanted to see Santa today and even sat on his lap for a photo and sang him Jingle Bells.  I was pretty happy with the BBQ, chose to serve up the salad side of the table first instead of starting with the meat.  Also, when the pav was brought out I went and did some washing up with the idea that if its all gone by the time I’m finished that will be good and if not then at least I will be able to cut a small piece instead of a normal slice.

Went to TOWN club last night and ‘Turtled’, which basically means I didn’t lose any weight but ‘yippee’ I didn’t gain any weight either.  Just stayed the same.  I’m actually really happy with that and also with last weeks gain of only 200g.   I know my eating is not always the healthiest choices at the moment but there have been many more eating out occasions and parties etc. with set menus where it is not possible to pick and choose.  Also, when I can pick and choose I have been  liberal and enjoyed eating some lovely things.

When the parties ease up I can get back into fully blown fat busting mode but for now I’m really glad to be minimising the damage.

Went to the shops this morning, what I thought would be a fairly painless exercise first thing in the morning, after having eaten breakfast.  Well… not as I had expected.  Of course all the bakeries and supermarkets are full of all those delicious baking smells and the food court is just cooking up all its daily requirements.  Oh dear.  But I am proud to say I made it through alive, oh, and without eating.  I even bought a bag of six mini cheesymite scrolls for Caitlyn’s morning tea and didn’t eat any myself.  I even checked with the girl at the counter that they could be frozen for if she had any leftover.  God they smelled yummy.  Go you good thing.

Total Kj for day 5066 =  1210 cal

    Re: Thursday 20th December

I was going really well until my friend dropped round today and I didn't want to eat lunch in front of her.  I didn't really have anything in the house to offer them all lunch.  Although I gave the kids the last of the cheesymite scrolls while we snacked on the fruit n nuts.

By the time she left I had lost all motivation for dinner and when there was no beef or chicken in the freezer I thought the toasted sandwiches would do.  In hindsight, after calculating the cals etc. I would probably not take this option again.  We live and learn eh.

Yes, it can be easy for us to talk ourselves into the easier option. Better luck next time!
