Re: Chocaholic's progress report
Hi Kaz and Ray (and everyone else!) Kaz - my biggest baby starts high school next year....a bit freaked out by that.....they're all going well - last year of all 4 in the same place - I'm very much appreciting that! We have just demolished our house, so are living in a rental place not far away (probably 5mins closer to you!) , and building starts on our lovely new place in the next fortnight - so have been busy with all that, but now the exciting bit starts! Ray, I think about you every time I watch Biggest Loser....and wonder just who you're busy training at te present time????!!!!!Lol - rhetorical question, of course!!!!!! ;) Alison

Re: Chocaholic's progress report
Can' t seem to kick this sugar craving thing...it's getting me down big time. Also had a bit of an issue with 1 of our boys (not that major, but still...) so that's stressing me a bit, and I've totally come to the stark realisation that I very much react to stress by over - way over eating....bad food, not too much fruit, or too many veges, just BAD food!!!! Sigh.....Alison

Re: Chocaholic's progress report
That food isn't for you, it's for the obese people. and if it's junkfood in the house that's getting to you, did you purchase it for you, or for others? Let them eat it, it's theirs, not yours. The Alison we know, eats well and healthily. What are you up to for exercise, by the way?

Re: Chocaholic's progress report
Renting house 5 min drive from the site that new house is being build. Sounds like a good excuse to go for a walk on a regular basis to monitor their progress. I hope the building exercise runs smoothly and on budget for you.

Re: Chocaholic's progress report
Actually, do, I said we are now 5mins closer to the lovely cowgirl's place....but you're right, we're renting only 5 mins drive (thereabouts) from where we're re building, so yes, regular check ups are in order. Actually, I left the car at school, and walked home, then back to pick them up the other day, and it was approx 22mins, at a good pace, each way, so probably only a 28-30 min walk back to our place. But, exercise is not my problem, I do plenty of that, it's what I put in my mouth that's the big problemo!!! Lorna, have really lost my enthusiasm for running, unfortunately. I was going to do the Run For The Kids - 14.2km, at end of March, but I'm not relly feeling very 'running fit'! Last lot of running I did was start of Dec, the 10km Sussan Fun Run, which was a not so nice experience this time 'round, as it was 30degrees by 8am, with a strong Northerly blowing in your face , and absolutely NO relief from the blazing sun!!!! It was so windy they had to take the big floaty thing that goes over the start line down, because it was about to blow over!!! Maybe that contributed to my waning enthusiasm!!!! Oh, btw, did I read you are expecting again? Congrats - how exciting!!!....so jealous......lol! Jane - you're not kidding about those emotions....and guys don't seem to feel that so strongly....bloody female hormones have a LOT to answer for!!!!! Tomorrow is another day! I WILL start the new day with a positive outlook....and maybe a Pump class at 6:10 am, followed by a cycle class at 9:15 (I'll definitely make that one, the early one I'm not so sure about!!!!!!) Re: Chocaholic's progress report
Yes, doing it one more time! Last time though, no more space in the house or car! I can fully understand about not feeling running fit but you can build back into it anytime you want if you're still doing your gym/aerobics. I'm hoping (still) to get to a point where I can do 5km comfortably, although I think it'll have to be with a treadmill as I think I'm going to be chained to littlies for a while longer. Going through the whole pram/toddler seat/board thing and what three carseats for the back of the car, how to juggle kids for space management and stay sane. I'd reckon you;d know a thing or two about all that! Hence the new house?

Re: Chocaholic's progress report
No,that's definitely the thing about more than 3, the whole car, house thing - that's why we're building a bigger one atm (well, not only that.....) Feeling Blah today - ttom, and all 4 @ home due to teacher's strike. 3 out of 4 teachers are striking, so I can't very well say to #3 child "everyone else can stay at home, you have to go to school" That would NOT go down v well - especially with him!!!! So, they're all @ home. We went to the library, and there were fire trucks there due to an electrical fault, so everyone had been evacuated, so that put an end to that, so visited a friend briefly and now they're all finishing lunch, and sitting down to watch Shrek 3 dvd! Very cold & wet down here today - which is good, we so desperately need the rain. Having them here meant I couldn't do my cycle class, which is a real bummer! Hubby's off to BrisVegas for the day tomorrow, so I can't even get up and do the 6 am cycle class tomorrow (gee, THAT'S a shame!!!!) well, not dong the class is a shame, any excuse to stay in bed as long as possible is always good! So, will probably do Pump again 2morrow, though feel as though I should really be doing as much cardio as possible to shift all of this unwanted weight!!! Alison

Re: Chocaholic's progress report
Feeling absolutely horrendous today. Have had a sore throat, chest, head & ears, runny nose, etc since Sat night. I can't taste anything, and I always end up eating chocolate (which I did yesterday...) or sweet stuff when I get like this, cos Ican still sort of taste the sweetness....if that makes sense! Anyway, dropped kids @ school, then came home, did a load of washing, sent some emails, and went to bed & slept for 3 hrs! I AM going to use this as an opportunity to eat less, drink more water, and really get my whole diet under control.I went on that BL club website, and did heir calculator thing, and it came up that I am actually just in the overweight category. That was such a wake up call for me, because, even thpugh I feel miserable about myself, I thought I might have just been able to sneak into the top of the OK range. But, it's official, at 165cm and 68.8kg, I AM overweight. So, they suggest 62kg as an initial goal, and the aywhere b/w 50 (yes, that's right, 50!!!!!!!!Roll on the Nicole Ritchie look!) and 68kg. I feel fantastic at around 58, so that's my aim. 50kg is ridiculous for me, I'm quit broad and carry a bit of muscle, and at my lowest adult post 4 kids I was 55.6, which lots of people thought was a bit too skinny, so 57-58 would be fab! I have no intentions of joining the club - a bit exi, I think, and certainly no better , no more informative, or more feature packed than this wonderful website!!! Anyway, a good wake up call for me, that I really need to get on top of this atrocious eating for good! Don't think I'll be up for much exercise this week, def not cycle tomorrow!!! Might try to just get out with the ipod and go for a walk and see how I go. I also get a little paranoid when I get this sort of bu, b/c I ended up quite ill wih pneumonia 2 & 1/2 yrs ago, and it knocked me out for months after I had recovered from the illness itself. So, lots of water, control the diet, ease up on the exercise and a bit of rest this wek for me, I think! Alison

Re: Chocaholic's progress report
Still feeling crapola today. Went for about a 20min walk with my friendly ipod, very nice to listen to Coldplay and walk in the outdoors. I don't usually listen to Coldplay when I exercise, so it was nice! Didn't set much of a cracking pace, but was sweating exhausted by the end of it (due to a temperature, I suspect, not the intensity, that's for sure!) Plonked on the couch & watched Oprah, which I never do! They were discussing quitting smoking, so I was trying to see how I could apply those principles to quitting chocolate!!!! On the bright side, I weighed myself (during the day, don't know why I decided to do that...) and I'm down to 67.1kg , so still 10 to go, but at least it's going down. Oh, and I think according to the BL club website, I'd be in the "not overweight" category now!!!!! Must go check that out! LOL! Off to pick up 2 "littlies" from, and drop 2 "big boys" at gymnastics.
