    Re: Monday again.....

    hiya luvvie

you will be needing to do the pelvic floors correctly after your op & healing my darling :)
before i had my hyster, i was getting up sometimes 30 times during the night to pee. it was awful. had so many pressure issues from the crap inside my belleh.
in just half a week of doing the correct pelvic floor, i can feel a decrease in pain level in my back. i am not kidding.
i hope YOU don't get zacman's snotty grotty cos they will possibly delay your surgery :( which will suck.

actually, it's one thing i wish i HAD investigated further, post op. rehab for my bits.

anyhooo... it's all coming together now. Operation Rebuild Barbarella (that would be me!) is well underway!

Will try to talk to you before the weekend

    SO Sore on Sunday!

Nothing like going ass over in a Gay Bar to make you feel stoooopid! LOL! And I was sober (at that point!). We had just entered, and there were 2 steps to go down, but they were bnot lit and I simply fell! I kept trying to save myself, so the actual fall bit was rather acrobatic! AND I am thankful there was noone else there at that point in time (we were there for a party upstairs, and it started earlier than the place opens). Got me a free drink and lots of loving fromesome of the "boys", so that was nice!

We got home at 2.30am, so I am tired and sore today, have been icing the knee and am wearing my knee bandage, so weird to have it on the "other" leg! I am thinking it is simply bruised and sore, and will settle fine, but how typical for me to do that a day and ahalf before I go in for surgery????????

HOWEVER, I had such a good time regardless, it was thoroughly exhausting and entertaining!

I shall be back to post in a bit less than a week, all going well, take care one and all!

I must admit I have come to the conclusion that people who say no to drugs don’t really need them.

    Also martyrdom is very overrated.

All the best hope it goes smoothly and you have an unremarkable and swift recovery.

    Womb free!

    Thanks guys!

I got home at 9am this morning, and am thrilled to be home!

I went into theatre within an hour of arriving at the hospital, which was nice and fast! All the theatre staff were very interested in my sore knee after the fall at the club on the weekend, so that was fun! Got to wear some of those lovely white stockings, which I have to wear for another month while I am not moving much, joy!!! I woke up in alot of pain, thank God for MORPHINE..... After 6 hits of that I felt sen-bloody-sational!! Back to the ward, and a night  of blurriness! I was quick to look down and see that I had not had to have an abdominal incision, which was a big relief. I was up and moving pretty quickly, which surprised me. Once the catheter and packing was out I felt SO much better. Still working on getting all the waterworks etc back to normal, but it is taking a while which is frustrating. Lots of repair work etc meant lots of pain and Morphine over the first 4 days, which meant an extra day in hospital, which would have been fine if i had not had the most inconsiderate roommate for days 5 and 6. She had visitors all day every day!!!!! I was only getting a few hrs sleep each night and needed sleep, so that was really hard. A couple of times the staff kicked them out but it only lasted an hour! I was very happy to leave them behind this morning.

Oh, one thing I was NOT expecting was the massive bloating!!! I seriously looked pregnant, and was waddling for a few days!!!! Still a bit bloated and swollen, but nothing like I did!

    Re: Womb free!

Post op swelling!  I'm glad you've made the transition from outright pain to discomfort - it's the home straight from here!  On the bright side, at least it's an operation you only need once!  Keep repairing yourself....

    Re: Womb free!

    Thanks Lorna!

Getting there, slowly but surely. With the help fo DVD's mags and books! DH is a godsend, doing such a great job with the kids and the house, I love this man to death!

Obviously I cannot exercise, but I have done really well food wise. Still trying to educate DH on smaller portions, so sometimes my plate is too full, but I am getting better at leaving stuff! Breakfasts are fibre rich, for obvious reasons, lunches are basically sandwich stuff, dinners whatever he cooks and mostly that is good (excpet last night, home made burgers with hot chips from the fish shop!) so I am not stressing. I have had lots of chockies as gifts, and have been feeding them to anyone nearby, and having a few myself, but REALLY pleased by my moderation!

I am being patient. And that is excellent!

    Re: Womb free!

Glad everything went well.  Hope you have a speedy, problem free recovery!

And I share your love for neighbours in hospital rooms - I swear I nearly smothered mine with a pillow, they let me out of hospital just in time.

Have you tried using a side plate instead?

Good to see you are having an unremarkable recovery.

How good is that, 1.3kg! You may have to book in for another operation each week Grin1

    Re: Bonus!

It is easy to lose weight when you feel poorly.

I lost 20 Kg from a golden staph infection at 59 Kg I was lighter than my ideal weight.

    Personally I wouldn’t recommend it.
