Thanks Jane.  We should do, we've been together for almost 9yrs ...

So have my PT Session tonight and not really feeling up to it cuz its TOTTM.  Will go anyway and hopefully she will take it somewhat easier on me (who am I kidding).  Will be signing up with FF today as I cancelled my old gym membership.

    Re: 23/10/07

    Hi ya Chez,

Well we went out for dinner on Sat to a swish restaurant and then when we came home he proposed.  Knew it was coming cuz I picked the ring 3 or 4 weeks back... so was patiently waiting.

Good memory on me being maltese.  We are funnily going out for chinese food for their anniversary, so multicultural aren't we.

Thanks for the good luck message, gonna need it!!

    Take care

    JDC:

Okay,  I was going to do a pump class yesterday but had a really sore back and neck and thought there's no way I could of gone, so instead I went home and played the BL workout DVD - but had to play it on the laptop cuz its US Region.  Surf The Web

Anyway; does anyone have any advise how to turn up the volume from Windows Media Player.  Its already really high but when they speak; you can hardly hear them.  I tried adjusting going into View, Enchancements, Graphic Equaliser - but I cant adjust anything there.  I've tried looking in Tool, options, but clearly Im missing something.  Any advise will be great.

    Thanks all.

    Hi Jen,

What about Play/Volume/Up ? Have you tried that, or the slide bar for the volume at the bottom of Windows Media Player window? Or adjust the sound volume for your laptop by going to Control Panel/Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices/Select System Volume.

Let me know if you need more assistance.Smile

    Re: Jen's Journal

well had a PT Sess on wed and told her to take it easy on me, well she said she did but it didn't feel like it.  Whilst on the bosu ball looking like an idiot with legs jiggling like crazy and my trainer telling me to pull my abs in so its easier on the legs (hard to do when its TTOTM).  It was a hard session but i did feel better after it.  Can't wait to get into proper training once my exams are over.

So i signed up for membership, i have a passport one for $44 a fortnight, which is not too bad but she is going to see whether she can put me under her as family and friends.  Its only cuz the big boss is around that they couldnt do it so we will see.  At least I can go to all FF gyms (except platnium) which is cool cuz I want to do aqua at rockdale, PT sessions at maroubra and classes all over .. I started by membership for the 15 Nov due to exams etc .. just too hard to start any earlier... so can't wait.

This weekend should be an interesting one.  Tonight I have a reuinion dinner (thai-which will be nice) and my mum + dads 50th wedding anniversary dinner on sat with most of the family going and that is where I tell the rest of the family that I am engaged.  Then have to study hard during the weekend and the following friday we get to tell his parents the good news.  Actually there is even more good news than that, his sister is now engaged too so doubly great news... They are going to be chuffed.

    Alrighty better do some work.

    Re: Jen's Journal

so I haven't been around much, so busy with Tafe and work.  Work has gone crazy and I have 1 more week left for Tafe in which I'm stressing over.  So much to study not enough time in the day.  Oh well, as long as I get 70% and over in the final, I will be happy.

Exercise has been non-existent but come next Tuesday, I will be getting back on track.  Anyway better go ...

    Re: Jen's Journal

    Thanks Rossy!

Well it seems like such a long time since I've written in my journal properly.  So time to get back on track.

I haven't put on any weight during the last 3 months and haven't lost any, so that is a good thing.  The only training I did was once a fortnight with my trainer and some cardio at home occassionally (ie: very rarely), but that's only cuz I've been soooooooo busy studying, but that's all over now! Hooray, Exams all over, thankfully!!

So time to get back on track.  Have now signed up for FF but haven't attended yet, will start come next week.

So its now time to start planning, focusing on myself and eating well.  I did that tracker and well it said for me to lose 20kg in 20 weeks that I must eat 1200 calories per day and burn 1177 calories for 5 days at a 60 min, so all I can say is BUGGER. I will try my darndest and give permission for you guys to kick my butt if I don't comply.

So why have I decided 20 weeks, well the plan is to get married in June and well its going to be a surprise wedding.  We're just gonna tell every1 that its my 30th/engagement party and then a couple of hours later, we sneak off to get dressed and then get hitched (sounds so romantic doesn't it, not). We just want everyone to be casual and relaxed and not have to dress up, although I think a few people in my family might kill me for not saying about it, but that's the beauty of it.  So we are trying to find a location now, so if anyone know's of a venue in Sydney which would be nice.  I'm looking at some kind of garden reception with marquees etc .. and a venue where you don't have to hire it for 5hrs or so and pay like squillions for it.

Okay so my plan of attack for food:

Food - well this where I need to get serious about it cuz I really do struggle with so much.  I still get stumped thinking that something is good for me and much later on finding out that it isn't.  Probably this is because I don't cook ... either way, this will be difficult, but I guess I MUST track!!

    Exercise:

I want to do more classes.  The high energy stuff.  So will have to have a look at the timetables and work from there.  Plus 1 PT Sess a week and then want to try and do one aqua class as well.

My theory is to do for 2 - 3 days in the morning, my Step Attack /Rays DVD for 30 - 60mins and then an arvo 1hr training session.  Will see how long that last's for.

Anyway, best be getting back to work.

    Re: Jen's Journal

It should be great once I can pull my finger out and get organising.  Just so hard at the moment as it is so busy at work and haven't even had the chance to go to the gym because it is TTOTM.  Anyway, its over now, so time to get training and get back to eating properly.  I just seem to not stop eating crap.  Like take today for instance, already I've had the following:

Special K with lite milk, 5 * country cheese biscuits, 1 English Muffin with 2 slices of ham and 1 slice of cheese, cup of tea and a lamington.  Now I guess on the whole its not too bad but its just frustrating cuz I can feel my waistline expanding and the chocolate's downstairs calling me.  So I am trying to distract myself from it all but its just so darned hard.  Guess I gotta start all over again!

Anyway, better go, busy at work.

    Re: Jen's Journal

Okay, so it starts today. Im going back to the gym.  Its kinda weird going to a new gym but before long hopefully I can see some results.  I can tell that my arms are wobbly and thighs slowly expanding, not to mention the waist line.  All up I only put on 1kg, so not to bad.

So today I am going to do a spin class and it just so happens that it is my PT that is doing the class.  So its going to be hard, very sweaty and I know I am going to feel the burn.  I reckon its been over 4 weeks since I properly exercised.  I did a step attack DVD on friday for 30mins and boy was that difficult.  Its like I have no drive, no motivation to exercise properly.  Im hoping that will change tonight once I get back to the gym to train.

Food, well that's always a struggle, no headway there.

    Re: Jen's Journal

    Hello Jen,
Ask your PT if they can suggest some foods to eat and get a nutritional plan going.. IF you have the funds I would suggest getting a good quality protein powder that is LOW carb and fat.. Drink one before you go to the gym and you will have the stamina and energy you need for a full work out.. It also helps you to feel full so your not constantly snacking.. I can give you a rough guide of what i have been eating for the past 12 weeks in my challenge if you like?

Perhaps you could allow yourself ONE day of the week where you can eat guilt free at least you wont feel like you have to fore-go ANY of your favourite things which in the end leads to binge eating.. I have found this works well for me and my love of chocolate.. because i know i can eat it on saturdays if i want some and not have to hide it. Its a good test of will power too!

Good luck with the wedding plans!

    Re: Jen's Journal

    Hey Rossy,

Yeah, that sounds great, if you can send me your plan.

Last night was good at the gym.  Did a spin class but now my butt feels like it has something wedged up there, ie: not nice to sit down!! How on earth do these people pedal fast with the "hard" feeling.  Hopefully I can get use to it.

Im trying to focus now on my food.  My trainer last night was telling me of this metabolic typing and how certain foods may be preventing you from losing the weight.  So essentially it may be that you need to have high protein, or high carbs or whatever, based on the metabolic type you are.  She said, even when you may think you are of a certain way, chances are your probably not.  So hopefully we will do the survey in the next couple of weeks ..

So time to get back on track and stop eating crap.  I just have to be self-motivated, CONTROLLED in my actions and learn to shut that mouth and to say no.
