Definitely look at hiring one as Cowgirl suggested. I did that and then bought it after the 3 months hire period. The hire costs I had paid already, came off the purchase price.
Trust me...you WILL want to run eventually,provided you keep at it.If anyone had told me a year ago that I would be jogging for 5-10 minutes on mine, I have thought they were on drugs!
Which is another reason why I think hiring one is a good idea..to see if the machine suits you and does what you want it to do.
Personally, if mine had a manual incline, I'd never use it.
