I have a lap band as well.

The dietician that I was sent to made me think that you need to eat meat regularly.

Did you discus this with a dietician before you got the band?

I was under the impression that quality protein was the issue.

I can take quite large tablets without any hassle as long as I don’t eat straight after.

How much it is worth to you to remain a vegetarian is a personal thing.

What benefit you get from being a vegetarian is a subjective thing.

Assuming you have a moderate diet you may get away with only having a multivitamin once or twice a week.

Or just crush up the regular pills they may not taste to good.

If you are having a lot of reflux as well may you have too much fill?

I have had my band 10 months and have never had reflux that lasted more than 20 minutes.

for starters i dont eat meat or animal products as they make me ill not because im an animal liberationist or anything

im thinking i may have the band to full but im happy with the food restriction

maby its just something i will have to cope with :)

i had my band put in in febuary so im still iorning out all the kinks:)

Certainly the band forces you to make adjustments to how much and how quickly you eat.

From my experience hard crunchy foods such as raw carrots need to be chewed very well.

Or alternatively cook them well and make them soft.

I have no problems taking pills as long as I only have a small amount of liquid with them and then leave them for at least 15 minutes to dissolve before eating and drinking anything.
